Ok, not to start off on a negative note, but just as I went to spell check and publish, I lost my whole post except the first paragraph. Here we go again, hopefully my extra frustration doesn't weigh in too much on my 2nd round of writing.
So I am FINALLY seeing a little progress in the nursery. I have been grumbling and whining about how nothing is getting done, and to be honest it seems like everything I do turns into a long, drawn out disaster, taking 3 times as long as should be! But, there is a faint light at the end of this nesting tunnel, along with a 20 day dead line.
Today I went into the Dr, and the baby is finally head down (phew, even though I wasn't too worried) and she says to let her know by next week if I want to be induced on the 24th. Eek. Seems weird to me, just saying "You will be born this day." What if I'm not ready by then, if the carpets aren't cleaned, if I haven't loved Hadley enough? Is that a good day? Should I google it and see what celebrities, serial killers or presidents were born that day? Its a Monday, maybe I want to come home on a weekend...too much pressure. Why can't I be normal and just have my water break somewhere embarrassing (I mean be somewhere public, not the location on the body of my water breakage, which is also embarrassing.)
My head is spinning with all I need and want to get done in such a short time, and it seems Hadley is picking up on my nesting. Every time I leave her alone long enough, she is collecting and piling, making herself little homes all over the house. The other day Brent was in the hot garage spray painting and happened to walk by her. "Daddy, you sit wif me?" Well, he did and within 30 seconds he was asleep, and she was nesting on his head. And everytime I get out a project to work on, there is my lil buddy wanting to do it all herself (rather annoying to a mom just wanting to get it out of the way!) Painting our new TIME OUT stool.
And the finished, clumpy project.
I am loving the way the nursery is turning out, too. Girly, but not pink and fluffy all over. I couldn't resist buying this cute flannel to make her a big recieving blanket, and I almost like the way the back turned out better!Revamped the night stand, new burp clothes, nursing supplies and if ever we settle on a rocking chair, that will go here too.
This diaper bag makes me so happy, from my long time boss at Wild Style, Andrea.
Also making me happy are these cute new friends I made, tutorial on Martha Stewart
Example one of things not going good the first time around. This dresser was given to us (free, yay!) but sat in our garage untouched. Finally I spent 3 long, hot, sweaty days priming, painting, lining the drawers...Only to pull it inside and realize it reaks of smoke. I can't put baby clothes in there! So back outside, my lovely husband primes and paints the guts of it, then I have to yet again touch up the paint, only to reline the drawers, have it not stick, and turn around and line them for a 3rd time with wrapping paper and mod podge, and totally ignoring all the wrinkles that came along with it!
Cute wrinkly lined drawers...
Made the bumper pads.
Front and back of little pillow, waiting for my glider rocker, too.
I realize now looking at this picture that the frame is a bit off center. I am hunting for the perfect paper or material to frame in here, and when we name her I will add that too. This frame is one of my favorite things in the room!
Wow, longest post ever...And more projects to come. Hopefully they will be finished before this baby is ready! I would like to have at least a good week to sit and enjoy Hadley, bake, freeze dinners and just wait. Patiently.

What a colorful world the new baby will have to live in. I am impressed with Hadleys painting skills she has a brush in both hands!
Yeah - the COLORS!! No wonder your Haddie is so full of zest and wonderment. What choice do the lil' buggars have when they're born into the psychedelic?
I am in awe. You make everything so fun and make it all look so easy! I love the vibrant colors and mismatched fabrics. I also love that you can work on HUGE projects like these in the middle of a hot pregnant summer! You are a rockstar!
Adorable! That room is stinking cute! What talent you have! Hope everything is going good-- super excited for your newest addition!
As usual, I am in awe of how talented and artisic you are. Amazing and nothing less that I would expect.
Damn Kacy! Looks so good. I feel so lazy and boring when I look at all the fun stuff you accomplish everyday.
Everything is darling. Your little one will be in a delightful little world of color and texture. You have a talent for decorating!!! You go, girl!
