tweedle DEE and Tweedle Dum...

The Grizwald Family, oh, I mean the Broderick Family, escaped for a night. A friend of ours was so so generous and allowed 10 obnoxious adults, 2 BUSY toddlers, and one sore puppy to join him at his families property in Peterson. It was beautiful, and hot, and a nice little getaway. This munchkin (who cried most of the night keeping 10 obnoxious adults, two busy toddlers and one sore puppy awake) ate her body weight in dirt...This one ate her own body weight in b..b..bananas. Ha. Thought I was going to say boogers, huh? But no, she just had a minor fascination with her nose. So I had to post it. Tiff is dying right now, I know it.
These two were the best of friends all weekend. Poking each other, bossing, stealing food, and giggling, chasing, and pinching.Hadley did receive herself a good old fashion BUTT CHEWING. But not from me. From Olivia. I tried to capture it, but only got the aftermath. So I will walk you through it.
Hadley plays with Olivias bike.
Olivia screams "NOOOOO" in her face like I have never heard before. Wow, these little lungs can put some force out...
Hadley doesn't cry, doesn't fight back, doesn't apologize, she does this...
Pauses, frozen with fear, shock, or just shear embarrassment...Notice Olivia holding her bike, just in case Hadley tries again...But she doesn't....Still frozen...Maybe if I hide here behind my huge hands, no one will notice I am here, and I won't get screamed at anymore...
And here is Olivia, ridden with guilt, staring at her mother, "Am I still in trouble? I will just hide here behind this handlebar until she isn't paying attention..."

Now that I have taken you for a nice walk in the day to day happenings of Toddler Land, I am sorry if it has bored you...

I did, however, kick my husbands butt as some clay pigeon shooting! It wasn't hard though, because he had a rough day and didn't hit ANY. So by me kicking his butt, I meant I hit 4 out of the 12 that were thrown for me. Wow. Sad for both of us.

But all better...
*I do have to add that for every time Olivia yelled at Hadley, Hadley yelled at her 4 times more. Her favorite word right now is NooOOOOAH. She even thinks it means YES. "Hadley, do you want some juice?" "NooOOOOAH" but she takes it anyway. Ya. If you figure this out, let me know. Im kinda lost.

*Toadie*

My Favorite Picture...(sorry not a good picture. My scanner is not working so I took a picture of the picture, hence the glare.)
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, you are my monkey macanoodle, and lil' toadstool too!!Miss McKaela Anne was the first wonderful grand baby born into our Forbush Family. The first niece, grand baby, great-grand baby and for a brief moment, Aftons only great-great-grand baby.(She is only turning 12! I would think 16 in this picture!) Things changed when this little angel came into our lives. We saw a rough, mean cowboy turn into softy "dampa", letting a new sweet granddaughter get away with things plain ornery daddies don't allow...And she definitely was "dammas" right-hand girl, there to be snugged, loved and spoiled...Probably fed ice cream for lunch, with a side of taffy for dinner...She was spoiled, cute and full of charm.
Kinda like me?
Ahem.
I remember "TubbieTubbies" was her favorite show, and she endured every type of baby torture we could muster up. Pickle juice, lemons, flashing bright lights in her face, anything for a cute picture. And if you faked asleep, before long you could feel her little breath in your face, and she would be there, prying open your eyelids. She still is just as fun and silly to be around. Full of energy, and starting to become a beautiful young woman. When she isn't beating the boys up on the soccer field. I can't believe how much she has grown, and what an amazing girl she is, especially thanks to Momma Jen (our most cherished angel).

Ok, wow. I am feeling very sentimental lately, and I feel like I might cry right now. I promise my next post won't be so mushy mushy. It will fill your day with giggles.
Love you so very much, Miss Macanoodle, always have and always will. Love, aunt Tacy.

"an guess WHAT kacy?"

...My title in honor of Paige Leigh, because that is what I hear out of her mouth nonstop when she is near...
Happy Happy Birthday, Paigey Girl. July 24th, our families lil' feisty cowgirl will be all of 3 years old, topped off with some attitude, a lot of stories, and those BIG greengreybluehazel eyes. There is never a dull moment when she is around. Every bit her mommas sweet girl, she can also transform her daddy , (though he doesn't often show his gooey center.)

I think she was almost 6 months old by the time I caught a glimpse of her first smile, but now it is all you ever see, usually masking just a little bit of mischief, but only when she isn't in deep concentration, or deep in pout mode. (Normal for a 3 year old, I know.) Since having Hadley, I haven't had as many chances to spend alone time with the younger kids, and I miss that. I got to take Paige and Evan for just a few minutes alone on the Lazy River at Cherry Hill the other day, and it was such a fun little moment for me. We had so much fun playing ring-around-the-rosies and they both smooched on me, and snugged and cuddled, I loved it. Up until Evan threw up, that is. Then they went back to their own mommies!
But I love these little kids, and all of the big kids too, so much. I am not the best aunt, I'm not as patient as Kari, or as sweet as Jenny, and I yell and get flustered, irritated and ornery, but I still love them all, and I hope they know that. Because if they don't, Im taking back their birthday presents!!

*I am writing this ahead of time to post later, because I am trying not to break down and leave my house, 10:55 pm, to run to the store to buy Hadley a binky. I have done a stupid thing, cutting a slit in her last *Soothie Brand Binkie* (made for up to 3 month old babies) and replaced it with a NUK 18 mos+ binkie (trying to get her to take a different brand, the old one is ruining her teeth.) She was fine with the new one earlier today, up until I put her in bed. She has now cried for almost 90 minutes, throwing everything out of her crib 3 times now. I feel like the most horrible person in the world right now. Stupid Pediatrician. "Out of sight, out of mind" my butt....*

*Update. She cried till 2:30 am. This is when I stuffed the cut binkie with toilet paper, to plug the hole I had put in it. She was asleep instantly. Then she slept till I took her to my grandmas, then she slept almost 6 or 7 hours at her house. Sucking on a holy binky.

}Sweetness{

Happy Birthday Number 2, to Olivia Ann...From Chunk(Love this chubby newborn picture. She was almost 9 pounds.)
To Monkey. She is Hadleys little friend, bossing Hadley around, and Hadley returns the favor by pinching her. A lot. She is the daughter of my BFF Tiffany, who I have been friends with for over 10 or 11 years now. Oh and her husby, Cody. He's alright too. Anyway, I love this sweet little girl, and I look forward to many slumber parties, play dates, and fights over barbies with her. Oh and I guess with Hadley and Tiffany, too.

More giggles

I was potty-ing and came out to find this:

Hadley had found her dress from yesterday and put it on over her jammies. I laughed, and laughed, then snapped some picts of her. She was just so casaul, playing like "I look so good!" She is so fun right now. New things every day.

Rebelling...

So, I know. I have done this before, ask opinions, then I go another route. I loved all of your input, and thank you. BUT. That being said, brown and pink are almost TOO trendy for me, and being an orange girl (it's my fave, I am not orange) (oh wait, I did totally make my elbows orange with my fake tanner, but that is besides the point...) I am also growing my hair, because everyone is cutting theirs off, and I totally don't think Suri Cruise is cute, and she needs to get rid of that damn bottle, she is almost 3. Now that I have solidified my sense of "against the grain" or "rebellion," I show you this...

TA freakin DA.
I have thought about this silly business card WAY too much, and I am done thinking about it. I have gotten all of the girls opinions at the salon, some of my clients, most of my families, and my blogger peeps. I need to learn my lesson, and be a little more independent. I went through this as a new mother, also. Kacy, just put your boob in her mouth and she will suck. Enough said. And yes, give her a binky! And let her cry! Yet again, here I am 17 months later, running around like a headless chicken, worrying about a 3 inch piece of card stock that will just end up in garbage cans throughout Farmington, and I cannot make a decision for my big girl self to safe my life.

Wow. I just reread that, not sure I should post it. Sounds angry, doesn't it? Phew.

Coffee beans. That's what I need. To cleanse our palettes right now. Angry Kacy is gone. Happy, thankful Kacy is here. Thank you all, really, for you input.

On a Happy Kacy note, I have to just say HOW MUCH this little, squishy, smoochy face makes me smile every day. I love her SO SO much, I don't know what I would do without her finger smudges, and "nummy nums" and especially her little giggle lately. She just makes my day, my heart, and my world so much more colorful. Her Daddy is pretty special too, but not near as fun to kiss on...or pinch chubby thighs!(Sorry Brent, oh and probably mom, too. But babies are so KISSABLE! You can see those un-friendly whiskers!)
She is just so helpful too...I promise we have shower utilities in the house. He was just cooling off.
Wow. Need some bread to go with all of this cheese...

Okay, two more.

I know they are all somewhat the same, a little splash of bold something or other off to the side.

Opinion, Ladies...

So with the salon I work at moving, I have been on the lookout for a new business card. After searching I thought, hm. Maybe I can just do one? Except I do like a few I saw, like this one, which was a no with Brent because all the girls in his office have the same one. I also like this one but I do see it floating about a lot in the salon world.

So this is what I have come up with so far.

With Border:
The same one with no border, I think this is my favorite:

This one is ok:
But this one might be my favorite too:
I don't really like this one, I just kind of started and soon it was finished, so I saved it.
And now that I look at them all again, I'm not sure I like any of them. Stay tuned, I may be posting more soon...

My Parade Elbow Hurts

Yes, yes, another parade. Farmington "Fiasco" Days was last Saturday, and the salon I work at participates yearly in it, throwing candy and hair sample packets. How silly, fun, and absolutely crazy. But yes, my arm is a little soar. I need to have a parade warm-up next time. Maybe switch up my throwing arm...
About halfway through, and Mom ran out into the road and put Hadley into the car with us. See the little Hadley speck, smooshed between Lindsey and I? She didn't know what to do and just sat there kind of frozen, until about the last 5 min of the parade. Then she really started getting into it."HI" and a wave, "HI" and she would try to throw out little candies. And even for a good half hour after the parade, she was still in parade mode. Had to show off her little pink piggies. Dare I call her "Mini Me."
See a family resemblance? Actually, just the crazy hair, no relation besides that. Look at how scared she looks. Giggle.
And here are picts from Nolans Birthday Party. Whoops, no pictures of anyone but the babies.
The difference between a Grandma and a Mom. Grandma doesn't mind all the frosting being painted all over her clothes. Mom minds...Lil Noah Davis smiling and "talking" to Grandma Great.*Funny add-on. Hadley is ready for a nap, and the way I can tell is she whines and cries at every little thing (yes I am a detective.) Well I am proofreading this, and she is sitting on my lap looking at all of the pictures. Pretty much the only thing that gets her excited, or in other words to stop fussing, is in the picture of Noah, she spots her yellow blankie in the corner. I never would have noticed! Funny what there little minds spot:) Needless to say, she is in her crib as I type!

Nothing Is Wonderful.

I have reached the first day in say 3 weeks, where, though there is much I should do, I am not doing anything. It is wonderful. It is almost 1 in the early afternoon, and all I have managed to do is eat, bath and nap Hadley, and take a wonderful nap myself, drool included. Oh I did hop into the shower myself, but with no attempt at makeup or hairstyling. My first demanding task today is to reach the bank, 4.5 miles from here, sometime before they close at 6. I plan on leaving here about 5:43. My child is clothed with only a (clean) disposable diaper, and a little bit of lunch on her belly. Now that I have painted you the perfect picture of LAZINESS, I add this...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THIS PUNK!
Today is 7.11 and "I will probably have more money than you by the time I am 21" Nolan is Eleven today. I give him this name because he is somewhat obsessed with numbers, prices, and I believe is destined to be an accountant, financial planner, or just very stingy, all of which will lead to mucho mola in the bank. He is one of Jared and Jens 6 children, and despite Jareds nerdy video game influence, is very active in participating in sports, watching sports, talking about sports, and dreaming of sports. And to this I say "Neener neener" to Jared. Love you Nolan, hope you have a wonderful day of worldly welcoming anniversary.

I ask you now, What are you doing tomorrow morning at 10am? Watching me ride by in the Farmington Festival Days Parade? Really? Well, Im honored, and also working on my aim. Taffy, Tootsie Pops, and the oh so cheap Smarty could be aimed directly for your head if you are there to witness this exciting event.

Now picture time:
Our weekend with the Forbush Family at East Canyon...
Here is big strong Evan, who absolutely, HAD TO have the pink Barbie life jacket, and pink floaty. Again "Neener" to Jared, because it would have made his manliness SO PROUD!
Kyle coaxing (forcing) Hadley out into the chilly water.Well, this one really would have had Jared proud, or maybe at least got him laughing. This is called the "Beef Stew game." It is a chance for the person laying on the bottom to guess what you had for lunch, through gassy smells. Enough said. And finally, Hadleys favorite past time. Filling Sadie dogs mouth and belly with rocks. Always so helpful...
Yes, I know, out of 150 pictures that were taken up there, I only posted 4. But it is because this: I for a few minutes couldn't figure out who this BIG LADY was hanging out with us, in all of our pictures. I didn't remember her being there. And oh, her swimsuit kinda looks like mine. GOOD LORD! That is what I look like? Oh, boy. I am calling Jenny Craig as we speak.

"Boom Boom" Haddie Says

I should have done a slide show, sorry these picts are so small. I thought it would take less time to upload them. It didn't.

Funny how holidays can turn me into a piggy-tailed, giddy-excited little 7 year old again. I love parades, fireworks, food and FAMILY!...
My aunt Denice has been in town, and she always adds a little spark to all of our times we spend with her...

Hadley and Daddy, ready to wave their little flags...

Kyle and Payton, same expressions...

Some of our favorite friends, The Turmans...

Whitey and Whitey Jr...

This pict cracks me up, mostly Kyles face, how cute he is with his girls.

So Davis High had some free little blow up toys to go on. This turned out to be my most favorite. I had to stop myself from knocking over the little kids out of my way! Move kid! Don't you know other people want to play on these childrens toys?!!!

She is a little bit like me...If you can't really do what everyone else is doing, just sit there and look cute!

Me and Haddie on the slide.

Love this pict of Payton. Kind of gives my belly a tickle.

Ok. So inspired by watching Davis High Colorgaurd in the parade earlier, Denice busted out her old school flag twirling tricks...

Funny, right? Once again, sorry about the size. Click on them, you should be able to see full screen...

Don't they have dentists in Wisconsin?

Kids...

Another beautiful sunset reminding us to stop, enjoy and remember for a minute...

Family bonding...

How Hadley watched the fireworks. Snugged deep into someones neck. Once in awhile she would flare her fingers out and say "Boom"

Happy 4th everyone, and super happy 4th to one of my best friends, you know who you are, I am so happy for you!!!
