It's been ordered!!

I just finished her little book. It is all of her first year, from birth to her little pig birthday party. I had to finish about 5 pages to get it done. I am so excited!! Now hope she doesn't just rip out the pages like she does with her other books? Maybe I will wait a few more months to let her cherish it. On second thought, maybe I should have ordered a back up copy!!

*.*Some PaRtY pIcs*.*...

Eating her piggy cake...PreSents!!!...
Her new babies bottle. I keep telling her moms don't drink their babies bottles, but it has been her little obsession for the last few days...

It came and went so fast, we had a wonderful time. Jared my brother is calling it "Brents Infectious Party" because if you weren't sick when you got there you were when you left. Brent has THE flu (thank you Instacare) and Haddie has been fighting a fever since yesterday evening. Not to mention Great Grandma Forbush is very sick and sadly missed the party, Great Grandma Spencer cancelled her own birthday party due to illness, ( I think she faked it so she could watch the Oscars in peace and quiet.)

Hadley was the little social butterfly at her party. She was walking all over the place to everyone. She was funny about her presents, hugged them all or threw them over her head. She laid her head down on her new blankies, and snugged her new little baby. Then watched as everyone ice skated, and they made the rounds to come and say hi to her.

Thank you everyone for your help and participation in this fun party. I am trying to finish her book "Haddie's first year" and will post some of the scrap pages I do later. I am excited to see it all done.

The day has arrived...

Ok I'm done being a BOOB. I have had a wonderfully happy day, and Hadley has been so funny and happy all day.

I only cried a little bit once today, She was on "Good Things Utah" for all of 5 seconds, but they paused longer on her picture than the other kids. And she was the cutest...

Mom and Grandma just left, been making cute cupcakes!

And...FINALLY got a new camera! Wonderful, but a bit fancy for plain ol' us. Going to have to take some classes to understand it's full potential. But the pictures it has taken so far have been amazing. Here are some of my faves so far...oink OinK oInk
How she fell asleep last night. Notice her little foot, like she was trying to climb out.
My beautiful, wonderful, blue-eyed baby, ONE YEAR OLD Haddie bug, booger, love, sunshine, giggle in my heart who I love so dearly...

3 more days and my baby is 1!

*PARTY*PARTY*PARTY*

I have spent the morning stuffing and labeling goodie bags, preparing special candies for cupcake making on friday, making a banner...And I lOve it! Maybe I should start planning her 2 year old party!!

This time last year I was miserable. A week overdue, fat, swollen, emotional. Miserable. And scared. Now I am still most of those things, just not miserable. I am still scared. The last year has gone by so fast that I am scared for our future years. Can't time stop right this second? I can't but help wanting to do the last year all over. I think I would hold her a lot longer, rock her for hours, write to her more often, enjoy those first few weeks , be a little calmer. ok, now I am a little teary eyed. Back to party planning. So about cupcakes...

First official "sick baby" work day..

Yep, supposed to be at work right now. But I have a sad little Haddiebugs that has been throwing up. She started about Ten O'clock last night, and every 45 minutes to an hour I was leaning her over the sink crying. Both of us, crying. Then she would giggle. And my wonderful husband would once again change her sheets, and clean up while I held her.

PICTURES AND PANTS!...
Here is just one of many wonderful pictures Charlene took of Hadley the other day. I just now got some new ones in my email, but haven't had the chance to photoshop them fun yet. I will post some later. Ok, nevermind, I will post an un-edited family picture of us...
Just imagine a little better lighting and you get the picture...

And I am just a LITTLE proud of those FREAKIN CUTE pants my bug is wearing. Her birthday pants. Cute, huh? RUFFLES!!

Fighting Back Tears (and headaches)

2 weeks till the big day!! My baby will turn 12 months old in such a short time! And here is a little sneak of what she was doing last night...WALKING! About 10 steps at the most at one time, but oh my...Here comes trouble!

Can I just vent and say I am SO sick if these *5&#^#@ headaches. They are making me so miserable.

This sunday we are having Haddie's one year old, oh I mean 12 month pictures taken. I am so excited. I have been sewing her some little ruffley pants for her to wear, and have some other fun picture ideas. She is being so fun and animated right now. She has conquered "uh-oh," "daddy" and "ba-pa" which is grandpa. She gets so excited now and claps when she sees someone she recognizes and missed. She also loves to stand on her bike and shake it...and she loves to watch her Baby Einstein movies...
Other big happenings in our family:
*Brents truck wouldn't start the other morning, so he ended up missing work, having it towed to the shop, and the service man came out and told him it started up just fine. That's after he jumped it at home with no result, too. Hm. Luck? or Bad luck? So that was an expensive morning. He did purchase a new battery though.
*The company he works for is being bought (phew) and that is thought to be done about the end of March. We are hoping they offer good benefits and better insurance than we have now. He has been promised a job with the new company so that is a little comforting.
*I don't really have anything going on with me. Really I work, then take care of my Haddie, get ready for her party , and trying to keep the house somewhat straight. Oh and I spend most of my day off trying to feed her and get her to not throw food on the ground! Funny child. You should see the floor and wall in my kitchen.

LooK Mom wHat I can Do!! Super Bowl Sunday

A day full of tricks and WILD family...
Wow. Yes, we ate all but 1 foot of this huge sub sandwich...
Here is Paigey showing it off:

Oh Clydene, you wold be so proud of your family's hidden talents:
Is it a huge booger? Is his brain falling out?
NO! It's entertainment hour by look what I can do Forbush:
I can put a nickel up my nose, showing all of the kids tricks to try at school to get them expelled. Or hospitalized.
I just had to share our family's talents. Oh and the game was good, too.

thouGhts by another...

Haddie took a few steps this morning between Brent and I. Then turned around and ran a few steps. But she isn't really interested in walking quite yet. Just biting.

I have been slowly reading a book (applause.) "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert. It has taken me since Christmas just to get 1/3 of the way through it, but I only read it when I can sit down and really enjoy it. Then I usually fall asleep within minutes.
Anyway, I was finishing a chapter this morning and came across this and had to share. I hope to keep this as somewhat of a motto, the last few lines at least....
"It was in a bathtub back in New York, reading Italian words aloud from a dictionary, that I first started mending my soul. My life had gone to bits and I was so unrecognizable to myself that I probably couldn't have picked me out of a police lineup. But I felt a glimmer of happiness when I started studying Italian, and when you sense a faint potentiality for happiness after such dark times you must grab onto the ankles of that happiness and not let go until it drags you face-first out of the dirt-this is not selfishness, but obligation. You were given life; it is your duty (and also your entitlement as a human being) to find something beautiful within life, no matter how slight."
For now my italian is a little biting, pinching, kissing, almost walking Hadley Jo, and her Daddy, and her Grandmas, and my new sewing machine once I get it up and running (slacker,) and my family. Oh and my morning coffee.

snow*Angel*

Today brought me some much needed *sunshine*

My Haddie foo foo came outside to watch me shovel today. The sun was out and it was so beautiful, from the mountains to my little bench in the front yard. It's amazing what a little sunshine will do for your soul. This second picture of her is her new funny face. "ooooo" as she looks around and finds anything new and interesting.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE KYLE!! 25 years old today.... I don't know how in such a short few years someone can go from acting like a 16 year old for 6 or 7 years, to acting 65? Baffling. Well, here's to you young geezer...
A LittLe morE *SunShine*
I figured twenty years from now when i get all of my kids pictures mixed up, this would help me remember who was who..
