Nursery Inspiration

If you are in need of cute kids room ideas or nursery ideas (as I am with time running out!) Go to this site...too many cute ideas!

I have accomplished a few little things, some blankets, bumper pads, and a lot of wandering around from room to room staring at the walls, overwhelmed with all I want to do before I have baby #2! Once I get a little more organized, I will post some pictures. As for now, I will keep my messy piles private!

and here is the last few weeks of our summer summed up in pictures:

Brents birthday weekend in Bear Lake: Haddies silly face. "you see my sih-wee face:" over and over. Oh cute, the first 100 times. I am certain she is destined to have loose, flabby Mick Jagger lips by her 3rd birthday.Driving the boat. Also learned to honk the horn in perfect rhythm to the pounding in my sea-pregnant-sickness head.Flying Kites4TH of JULY!!! Cute little buddies ready for the parade. The different choices in shoes crack me up.No more candy till after lunch Hadley. Breakdown. With 3 pieces shoved in her mouth. The kid was asleep before we even got food to eat.pricelessSunday we headed up to the Uintahs to fish with friends again. These two are so cute together. And Hadley has become her daddy's little fishing buddy, barely got her away from the water.chattin and chillinSo I have been exhausted lately, can barely keep my eyes open mid-day. Well, with the sun and a blanket, I couldn't resist closing my eyes for just a second...So I thought. I woke up with sun burnt lips, and a bunch of new pictures on my camera. Apparently I was asleep for a good 30 minutes.including this one...I missed out on their little adventure, Hadley even reeled in her own fish!Well, thats all I can give you for today without starting into super witch mode. Just when I think I am doing pretty good, that my hormones are ok, and its not so bad being 7 months pregnant, the wind changes and all hell breaks loose. Stay out of my way or I will eat you. Or sweat on you. Just a little territorial. And ornery. Oh and tired. But good! Baby is breech for now, 4.5 pounds, and still nameless. 7 more weeks to figure that out, no rush, right?

Slightly Panicking...

Don't judge please, my spell check is not working! Hukt on fonix.
Wow 65 days left to go. If I am induced at 39 weeks that is only 8 WEEKS! Oh boy I have a lot to do to get ready... I don't know what has happened, or what is new, but the last few weeks have been so busy. Today was the first day in a long time I was able to read blogs, comment, update mine, play catch up I guess.
It could be that it takes me an extra 45 minutes to get ready everyday, thanks to hot flashes, makeup melting off and reapplication, impossibly trying to dry hair that becomes wet again with my sticky natural dew, clothes not fitting...potty breaks, yada yada.
Or is it this crazy toddler, who in the last week has fingerpainted my couch with POO! Graffitied our walls, coffee table, couch and herself (pjs included) with Sharpie...Asks for meals that are left untouched, only to insist 4 minutes later on a dwink and a snack! A bedtime routine that takes 95 minutes, from 30 minutes of reading to 65 minutes of coralling her back into bed with 8 new books and 3 plastic dolls. It's fun to be the one to go check on her after all is quiet, she usually is uncomfortably passed out ontop of many hard objects, or in an entirely new outfit... Tutu, fairy wings, boots, wand in hand, 3 purses, doll...Oh the giggles of having a little girl. And here is "MOM! I need a POPSCICLE!" at 830 in the morning. We have locked our fridge up due to the whole package of cheese she ate and scattered around the house, but didn't think about the freezer. We had a wonderful rainy weekend in Bear Lake, where we are headed again tonight till Sunday. And another slightly rainy wonderful day at Lagoon for Fathers Day...

And there are these joys...Pict I took for Fathers Day of my sneaky and silly little nephews. I love these faces!More HERE

Well Im off to Birthday shop, do laundry, maybe a couple little girl haircuts, pack for Bear Lake, and GET OUT OF TOWN! Woo Hoo!

Chasing Bees

I have put off a new post because I am an hour and a halfs worth of busy work away from finishing Hadley's room, and about 6 hours worth of THROWING CRAP AWAY from moving her in there. So I thought... until it is picture worthy, Ill put of blogging. Two weeks later...not finished. Today I have moved half of her clothes over, and I am hoping by tonight to get some more things hung on walls. Because she is sleeping now, and Im not about to disrupt her by hammering and dragging in the ladder, instead you get a preview of an almost finished bedroom:
I know it will never look like this again, but its cute until she has free reign over the room!
This is my old bed my dad made for me as a child, painted pink. And THANK YOU to my mom, who without asking showed up 3 or 4 different times to help me paint the room and bed. Your a good husband, mom!

Paper lanterns will eventually hang above the dresser, and frames on the walls above the shelves.
I mod podged the doors on the shelves, and added different paper to some of the backs. Still need to organize once I bring in more of her crap. Oh I mean belongings! Ya know, important things like half a million kids meal toys! And this is my old dresser too, just with handles painted yellow. I figured it was not as functional, but had a little more character.

Way easy paper stars I made, from HERE.
And her name that will hang on the wall against her bed. Hopefully tonight.

Little Happenings:
Just little things in our lives (besides complaining, apologies again)
*Haddie and Brent escaped to Bear Lake for the weekend while I stayed home to work, and garden, and make random trips to Maverick for sodas and nachos, just because I COULD!! Believe it or not she didn't drowned, starve and no ER visits. I was shocked! But I did get a giggle at some of the pictures when I was going through them yesterday: Her face KILLS me!Just sweet...
It was a fun little trip for the two of them, though supposedly she was a complete angel the whole time, so much for me secretly "seeing how he handles it!"
*Over this last weekend I wussed out on camping (mostly trying to sleep while camping) and we ended up getting a room in Provo instead, going to Seven Peaks and driving/hiking in the Alpine Loop area. Was a nice little getaway, but it's true what they say about that happy valley area. Just a little odd!
The best ice cream face I have ever seen!Showing off our muscles! (and yes, I am ONLY 6 months preg. Not with twins.)
"I pway in water Daddy!?"
"Oooh CODE!"
Now tears. Too cold.

Oh and Hadley loves to chase bees, even waters them at times.

Bugged *do not read if your in a good mood*

I feel so bad for my husband, co-workers and mom who get nothing but a B when they get me. Whine, complain, nag, complain. I am so sorry. I need a major attitude adjustment. Or some drugs, legal or not. Or a baseball bat. Seriously.
Most of my problem is at work.
The deal: Yes, I am pregnant. And I know you keep staring at my belly. Just ask. This is what I cannot stand..."So...anything new with you?" I am going to tell you no. This is not new. I have known since before Christmas. "Whats new with your family?" Nothing. Smile. Its even better when I do say "Oh and Im having another baby" and I get "Oh, I know...so and so told me. I just wanted to see if you would tell me." Oh great, nothing like feeling trapped. Unless you are my mom, husband or someone I see other than every 8 weeks, I probably would rather you hear by word of mouth. That way when I am gone for 2 months this fall, you don't go into hair shock and call me at home and ask me to come in early off of maternity leave just for you. (totally DID happen with Hadley.)
Other goodies I have gotten this week:
*Oh your WAY bigger at 6 months this time than you were last time!
*I've stayed home from work all week, I am SO sick. But I really needed my hair done, it makes me feel so much better.
Don't get me wrong. I love doing hair. And I love 80 percent of my clientele. Its the swollen, painfully numb feet, growing varicose veins, heartburn and sweaty boobs together with "Can't you just stay late for me" and "Why are you taking so much time off for maternity leave? Who will do my hair?" or even better "You need to work more" that gets me. I am thinking of charging double for stupid comments. OK, Im done now. I just had to vent. A lot. I feel better.

Speaking of work...The owner of our salon, Andrea, was diagnosed with MS a couple of years ago. Her brother and sister in law are racing in Harmons Best Dam Bike Ride June 27- 28th for MS and are collecting donations. If you would like to help go HERE. Thank you.

And this gem: Miss "I do it myself" makes me giggle.

As I type she is walking around "BLAH GROSS" after eating some of the whole bottle of salt she just dumped out. What I get for not paying attention...

Serious Addiction....

This could be bad, even more-so for a gestating woman. Espressos. Lots of them. Our trip to Cali did me in with Brents daily Starbucks ritual, and since we have been back it is all I think about. When and where will I get my next fix...So for lovely Mothers Day what does my hubby do? Enable. He bought an espresso machine. My Dr allows 1 caffeinated beverage a day, so this is hard, but also good...Gives me a limit!

I feel as though I am going crazy. I walk around my house, and I hate everything. The paint, pillows, rugs, garage (if you have seen my dump, oh I mean garage, you would agree) the couch, the direction the house faces, the yard...GRRR! I only have 3.5 month left, and I want a totally new house before this baby comes. Maybe its too much coffee, or nesting, or ADD, but I need some change in this house or I may just burn it down. Oh man, you should see my carpet. At one point, 2 years ago it was tan. Now it is polka-dot. So today...IKEA...it may just hold me over till I get Hadleys room done. Then I will work on the nursery, then the living room. And meanwhile the flower beds...planting and killing a weeks pay in flowers!

Life in our house...pretty routine. Work. Clean. No mommy, PINK cup. PINK straw. PINK bowl. Our 4th wedding anniversary came and went, with dinner, flowers and mini-golf. Sleeping with windows open has left me excited for camping this summer. Sleeping on my crampy sides and achy back have left me dreading camping this summer.

I feel like I am pulling things out of...you know where...to talk about so I will stop...And show you my happiness in phone pictures...
Date night with Dad and Mom...we didn't pay for her to play, but she sat there and made "pekew" noises and killed dinosaurs with Dad. Oh, and I gave her some bangs...not sure how I feel about it yet. Leave it up to me to fret and fret over a simple hairstyle change...
Rainbows.
Flowers from honey. This is after he golfed 2 nights in a row, leaving me home trying not to strangle the toddler, but it still made me blush a little at work, and I'm pretty sure thats why he did it...Found this gem on Facebook, in someone elses pictures. See that chubby lil red head kneeling on the right side? That would be me...Wasn't I cute?

And FINALLY: BABY NAMES. I am hating this. All the ones I love are taken, the ones I am ok with no one else likes, and the ones I don't like all that well Brent LOVES.
Suggestions?
So far I love: (Brent hates)
Campbell (may be taken though) or
Monroe (needs a feminine middle name)

These are OK:
Logan
Pyper
Corrinne

And Brent loves:
Kadence and
Dyllan

Oakley, Afton, Amelia (Milley for short), Emory, Ryann, Sawyer and middle name Anne have all been circling around too, though I dont LOVE anything (except the first two). I almost like Elsie Monroe, but not sure how I feel about Elsie. I think because my name can also be male, and Hadley I have also heard for boys, I have a problem with super girly names. Brent keeps telling me I like boy names, I do think I lean more toward ones that can be both.

Flea Bites Bite

Well we are back, and I have one very last load of laundry going, after 12 hours of it. We had a BLAST, but in no way was it the least bit relaxing!

This is how she fell asleep on the airplane, after a 10 minute tantrum. Sitting up, sucker falling out, and when I tried to lay her down she kinda freaked and went right back to the same position!

Highlights:
*Flea Bites, if you couldn't tell from the title.
*Hadley had absolutely NO FEAR towards the costumed characters. In fact, WATCH THIS. Actually, that video was probably the 3rd time she had mauled, I mean seen Dora for the day.
*Famous words of an 11 year old:
-(as we are checking in the rental car) "Hey Brent! Where did that big scratch go?"
-(as we are in line for security at the airport) "What were you guys saying about you could pack liquids that explode?"
-(in the HUGE CROWDED line for Universal Studios) " I bet midgets are happy to come here! Its cheap for them!" For kids/persons under 42" there was a slight discount.
-Donald Duck dancing with Hadley
-Dora
-Dora
-coming home to my comfy, bug free bed
-I lOvE Disney land. It was by far the best. It is so magical, and so fun to see the little ones light up at every little thing!
