Home Today...

I now know, I am truly not baby hungry. Just nephew hungry. Being around this wonderful little man was, well, wonderful. Better than a pedicure while eating chocolate ice cream. Better than Christmas. Better than better than sex brownies. But coming home, getting sleep, and not having let-down. No panicky, crying tantrums that last hours, and oh, no crying infant baby. This to me is better right now than the little bit of heaven that is my future child. At this time in my life. Maybe in a year or two. Or three.

Gardening help...

Yes. Look closely. Dirt. On her chin. Mixed with slobber. That is after she chewed it, swallowed some, and spit the rest out on her chin. Nummy.

Love those chunky little legs.

Noah Davis Forbush

He is here!! One month early, but beautiful, healthy and mom and baby are wonderful!!

8:58 am

19 inches

6 pounds 3 ounces

And no motorcycle trip for JD and the boys.

Happy Day of Birth Noah. You have a wonderful family to get to know.

Jennifer talking to Ron and Susan(her parents). They are trying their hardest to get back to Utah to meet their new grandson. Jennifer was tired beyond delerious, but still beautiful!Big Brother and Dad
The new Little Man. I didn't actually get to hold him, just stare at him through the glass. But it was worth every smudge on the window...

Proud Daddy. It's so fun to see these tough, mean guys just melt.

Wonder about the conversations Clyde had with the little boy before he was sent on his way? "Keep your mouth shut and your ears open." Or "Say 'Hello' to your Grandma." Or "HUH?" If "huh" is that baby's first word, then we'll know, right? A little bit of Heaven, sent again our way.

a Day iN the LiFe...

All nice and clean, sweet, and about 30 seconds away from a "no you won't put a diaper on me" tantrum. Still, couldn't resist posting the sweet picture.I guess I need to be plastic to get a kiss around here...

Well, I DID want brighter and funner. But is it necessarily better?
New paintings inspired by the non-working soap pump
Hadley did a little re-decorating of her own.
Finally a pict of the dresser. And you can get a glimpse of the BORING paint color behind it. Once I can afford to hang things on the walls, the paint color might not be so bad...the only pict I got of the paintings I did for the new baby. Behing the elephant is a green zebra, and on the right peeking through is the giraffe.I had to post these picture because McKaela had my camera for awhile, and the girls took these pictures of each other. They made me giggle when I was looking through my camera.

Big Day

First of all, sorry about the music. I changed it for last Tuesday, some songs that were a little more dear. Now it's time to be a little more HAPPY, But I really don't feel like sitting here for two hours adding new songs, so you will have to listen to my saddening music for a minute?

Down to business....

Happy Belated Big Tenth Birthday to Mr. Ethan Broderick!!! His birthday was April 16. He is a very sweet, handsome, somewhat bashful young man (old boy?)Hadley is infatuated with Ethan and his brother, Parker. She loves to bother them and climb all over them. She kind of bullies them, and they just sit still, giggle, like "what is she doing?" and let her get away with it. Sweet boys.

Happy Birthday Grandpa when are you taking us girls camping Sparky! To this man I owe so much. He has taught me wonderful things, all of which have become loves in my life. He taught me first of all how to farmer blow (when you plug one nostril and blow your boogers out the other). Not that this is a love in my life, I still kind of gag. But the memory of trying is priceless... He took a big risk when he broke down and decided to take all of us begging, whiny, wimpy girls camping. Mind you, we loved it. Always. And he says he was pleasantly surprised with how well we did. We were little mothers, cleaning, setting up camp, taking care of the young'uns. It became a twice yearly ritual, to backpack and camp, hike, and make many pit stops (sometimes one every hour) at all of our favorite after-camping eating spots. He never minded that when we went hiking, we had to walk most the way in the water. Or that before we left on our hikes, he had to wait for us to put Sun-in in our hair and put on our tank tops to get a tan. Or that when we were bawling because the thunder and lightening was scaring us, he gathered us all around in a circle and we had sacrament, and prayed, and he calmed us so much. He taught me the beauty of nature, how to respect it, appreciate it.
I love to hear his stories, always filled with his witty humor.
"Grandpa, what does your hat say?" He always takes it off, and holds it up to his ear. "Well, I don't hear it saying anything!" After every haircut, he says "A blind man would be happy to see me!"
And my favorite, watching him with my little Haddie Jo. Every Wednesday, He and Grandma watch Hadley Jo. She LOVES it. But I can't tell who loves it more, she or my grandparents. She sits downstairs, and yells up to grandpa when she hears him. One night, my Grandma had left to do some visiting teaching, leaving Grandpa alone with the baby. When I walked in, he was sitting on the floor and she was climbing all over him. It looked like there had been an explosion of toys and bottles. One of the funniest, most precious memories I have. Anyway, I could go on and on about the wonderfulness that is my Grandpa Sparky. I love you grandpa, Happy Birthday!!!

What were you doing 5 years ago?
Well, 5 years ago, I hadn't met Brent yet. I was living with my parents, I had just bought a brand new car (almost paid off, now) and working at Wild Style Salon. Mostly, I think I was hanging out with friends, shopping, working, and spoiling nieces and nephews. My parents were building a house for my Grandparents, and for the most part I wasn't much help, except finding RATS. I met Brent in June and this year it will be 5 years.

Forecast for today....rainy with a chance of Sunshine

A wise old man once told me..."NO NECKIN!"

What I love:
*Driving Grampa to Smith's with only my learners permit in moms green explorer. I was so nervous, yet he was so calm. With his hand on the dashboard.
*Having my hair twirled
*After he had a scolding from Grandma, the little smirk and wink he would give me. God, I loved that.
*Being the only place he could come for a haircut AND a kiss
*My mother, our Rafiki (as JD named her), holding my daughter up for my grandpa to see, when I wasn't strong enough to do it myself. One of the hardest, yet most wonderful things to experience. A little bit of Heaven to see him on his way.
*Surrounding my Grandpa with all of his beautiful family, laughing and crying, near and far, telling stories, playing with his hair, telling him how handsome he looked. Watching Grandma, always with her hand on his chest, telling him over and over she loved him. Waiting with him for the sun to come up, when fishing would be the best.

My words are frozen and no more thoughts are coming without tears. I miss the old man. As much as I hurt, and miss him, and mourn for my gramps, I know that I am happy to have loved, known, and cherished him.Love this picture of him. He looks like he knows he is the luckiest guy in the world, surrounded by his beautiful girls. Father of 4 girls and loving it.

Good Daddy

Happy little Hadley Jo has a new fun toy thanks to her sneaky Daddy. He got off work a few hours early one day last week, which lead to browsing KSL.com, which resulted in a trip to the bank. Her cute little castle has an iddy-biddy swing, two steering wheels, a telescope, two slides with little rock climbing type ladders up to them.
She stands in the kitchen up the the sliding glass door with her forehead pressed up against the glass, and over and over points at it, "(Gasp) Whatha! (Gasp) Whatha! (Gasp) Whatha!"
So with our little castle addition, I feel a little more equipped for play dates (hint, hint.) Maybe now Olivia, Paigey, and maybe big strong Evan would like to come play?...
Happy Birthday Kyleigh JoJo!!! Today is Medium Jo's 9th birthday! Her and Connor are all of 340 days apart. She is our wiggly, chatty, sweet and helpful "ty-wee." my favorite memory of her is at a family Christmas party say, oh, 6 or 7 years ago. She got a little kitty cat at the party, which her mean bully older brothers stole. Well the poor girl had (has) a little bit of a speech impediment, and yelled "YOU WET GO OF MY TITTY!" Here she is at about 2 1/2 years old at Halloween. Love this picture!

Oh! and we had a star sighting!! None other than Ms. Hannah Montana came and blessed us with her presence at Connor's birthday party!!We didn't get a performance, but maybe next time.

Thoughts.

Wondering how to get around boring you with my ramblings of an uneventful week.

Yesterday, April 3, was my nephew Connors birthday. He is now all of ten years old. My favorite memory of him was always teasing him..."you are such a CUTE little girl!" He would get so fiery mad, and retaliate "I'm not a girl! I'm a HANDSOME BOY!" He is a sweet little thoughtful girl, Oh I mean boy, full of steam. And gas. Always the first one to give you hugs as he runs through the door.

Random thoughts that have been circling in my brain this week:

*A couple of anniversaries coming up. First, on the hated tax day, the one year mark of losing my grandpa. Still have to take a second glimpse to make sure he isn't sitting in his chair when I walk in their house. Boy I miss that bossy old man. If he was here, I would give him the biggest hug, and then harass him for his pants falling down. But he isn't, and I can't believe it has already been a year. Soon it will be two. I think in heaven he has his house, his truck, his boat, and He is standing out by his garden waiting to get hit on by all the ladies driving by in their mini-vans. You know he was the most Handsome man around...
And the second is mine and Brents wedding anniversary. 3 years of marital bliss on April 30. Who's idea was it to get married in April. Right after taxes. I always owe way more than I financially can handle, so there goes any chance of romantic getaways. See them? there they went, right out the window.

*I hate the IRS. That's all I am going to say because I could go on and on, but your ears would burn and I would one day like to join my gramps in heavens clouds, not burn in the fiery pits.

*getting our room painted Tuesday(I know, we hired help! How ritzy!) but have no idea what color to choose!

*Count down to a new nephew! I am building a cellar in my house, in which I can steal little Angus Barnabe Davis Forbush and hide him. Dang it. I didn't work this out very well. I was supposed to be faking a pregnancy for the last 8 months. Now my plan is ruined!

*No, I am not in any shape or form baby hungry. I love my sleep and my fluctuating mental health too much right now. No need to go and screw that up with bouts of sleep deprivation and postpartum depression. No, not me. I will just slobber all over my cute little nephew when he gets here.

*How do you fake swollen ankles?

*And finally, thought I was going to go a whole blog entry without talking about my bug? Well ha, I didn't. Her new things this week are:
Teletubbies (I wish they would die)
Babies. Rocking them, patting them, Saying "baba" and doing the sign for baby, and sucking on the babies head. I am getting her ready for our new addition. Oh, I mean Jennifer and JD's new addition.
Whining. Oh boy. Once again, can't talk much about the subject. Heaven awaits me.
Chasing Brent and I, trying to get us. When she attempts to run, she does it with her little arms flailing behind her.
Whining. Clinging, crying, whining. Oh wait, I already mentioned that. It's been a rough week.
PursesLoves to get ahold of anything she can put around her little shoulder and strutt her stuff around. Can never have too many purses, right Whitey?
