Be-LatEd Big Day...

Happy Birthday Sioux!! Yesterday, March 27 was My great-aunt Sue's Birthday. She is my Grandma Nadines littlest sister, my mothers extra sister, and also her wonderful aunt. They have been great friends throughout the years. Sue is always game for a great adventure. She traveled to Las Vegas with us for my big 21st birthday, but after the great "Thunder from Down Under" fiasco, we don't go back. Ok, just kidding, that never happened. The fiasco part. Vegas did.But here they are for you to look at anyway.
So Soiux baby, I hope your Birthday was wonderful, filled with lots of Grandbaby kisses, chubby hugs, and chocolate. We love you.

QuIlt FoR SalE!

First 100 dollars takes...If anyone is interested. I might just hold onto it. Or send it back, but I need to decide to do so within a week for my refund. It doesn't have the shams, fyi. It really is cute, and it breaks my heart I couldn't get it to work. But as soon as I ordered it I regretted it, especially after my trip to Anthropologie. Which is where Mom, Gram, Bug and I ventured today...

***I BOUGHT IT***I have been so happy giddy.
You had me at "Hello" or "you complete me." As I told my mother, the clouds parted and the angels sang. It's a little brighter in this picture. But I love it. I am more happy than, well, I won't go into that...
I plan on painting a little. Redoing all of my wall decor, painting my dresser baby distressed blue. Hoping it won't cost me much now except for the cost of paint.

Enough About My Bed!!

Hadley made a new friend yesterday while I did laundry. Thing is, she will never be without her? I don't know what her new friend was saying or doing, but Hadley thought it was hilarious!!Silly Girls.

And there was our fabulous Easter Egg Hunt and Grandpa and Grandma Brodericks:
She was a little questionable about the grass. This one is a little blurry, I know. But I love her expression. She kept saying "ooooooooooooooo" and dropping the eggs in the bag.
Easter Morning, I know a little out of order. New popcorn popper vacuum.
Socks! And Daddy daughter matching I just woke up puffy face, which I love.

No advice column this post. Disappointing, I know. Actually, I just have this I have been thinking of. I have heard all of this "all I need to know I learned from..." For instance, the easter bunny. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, never too much sugar, yada yada. Well here is my version:
All I need to know I learned from a smoker.
As many of you know, Brent smokes. Gross, I know, but there is nothing I can do about it. He will quit when he is ready. But, saying that. I never smoke, never will, not promoting it in anyway. The thing is, taking a 10 minute break about every 45 minutes to go outside, be alone, enjoy the nice weather, let your food digest, let everyone go on ahead without you while you hang in back by yourself. This sounds very tempting to me. Not a reason to take up smoking, I know. I need to think of something else to do solo. Outside. Often. Window peeking? No. Unless I go up on the East side to the big houses. Gardening? too lazy. Maybe I should invest in an outhouse. With a sky light. To stargaze.

Oh messes...

I (surprise) really enjoy cleaning Hadley Jo's bedroom. One big long week of dirty clothes is only one cute little load of laundry in the wash. It's so easy to pick up, fun to clean, look at all of her cute little things. Match tiny socks. Fold tiny little pants.

But

Other messes I just can't handle. Well, I handle them, it's just they aren't so tiny and cute...

All of this and she wasn't' out of my sight for 5 minutes.
By the way, I was busy folding cute little pants...:)

Imagine how much nicer my day would go if my cupboards had child proof locks on them. Anyone know a good handyman?

HipPoty HoP..*..

Just a few of my favorite picts from our great night of egg dying... Finally something besides HAIR? At my bff tiffany's home. Her daughter, Olivia is 7 months older than Hadley.

Look! do you have a belly button?

Whatha? Olivia keeps saying "cow"

No you can't drink it!

Poo Bear Stickers
Oh child. I hope that isn't toxic. Please don't eat it. MAn this stuff stains!!
More poo bear stickers. Kind of has that old time bombshell look with the fuchsia lips.

BeauTiful...

Splash, giggle, splash, giggle.

Olivia squinting from the splashes. Funny Face

Quilt is here, and oh my...

So it is somewhat smaller than I would like, but I am rather surprised with how much I think I might like it. Once I clean up the room a bit (sorry,) change some decorations, possibly paint, and add my orange sheets, and some fun unmatching pillows, I could really like it.

But
then this came along.
Anthropologie.
My new favorite store that someone designed just for me, but forgot that I am rather poor, and can't afford any of the clothing. So I am trying to choose...Do I return the quilt and go for something else? Like this one here or another on there funky website here
I have posted a poll. How bout y'all vote and help me out with my CRISIS!!

I noticed everyone loved my advice. I am the worlds best parent, greatest marriage counselor, and I do fairly well at telling people how to get along in life. All while I sit on my computer, neglect my child, fight with my husband (OK, argue) and wonder what this life is about. So here it goes:

*Don't buy Mini Cadburry Eggs, 2 bags for $5. You will eat them all by yourself and the dimples in your thighs will be roughly the size of Mini Cadburry Eggs. This will be very depressing, keeping you up at night thinking "Why did I eat all of those," yet the next night...Dimples.
*Go to Anthropolgie at Gateway Mall. Purchase a $50 gift card. My address is 716 North Leeds Court. Send it to me.
*And lastly, let your mom know how much you appreciate her. Whether it's dropping everything to watch your screaming child, many, many days in a row, or dropping everything to listen to her own screaming child (me.) Tell her how much you love her, love that your baby looks like her, and cherish every moment of seeing the bond between the two of them. Just don't do it in a round-about way such as through you blog, It's better other ways. I'm just not that kind of girl. Tee-hee. LoVe yOu WhiTey Poo!!

Who is this girl?

In the last week my child has disappeared and I now have a new Hadley Jo. Happy, hyper, babbling like crazy, walking around laughing, and she is starting to pretend. All at once she is saying "ba ba" while opening and closing her hand (bye-bye,) she is signing "more," pointing to her nose, pointing to the airplanes, shaking her finger "no-no." I scrapped some pictures we took this week. 2bath Thursday. She learned to turn the bath faucet on, but only the water comes out ice cold. But she doesn't mind, she is so impressed with her new ability, she happily plays in the freezing water!I'm glad she hasn't mastered hot water. And she loves to sit in her little tunnel when it is all folded up. Only it was folded up on the top of her toy basket. Obstacle? Easily conquered. She just climbs on up. The child has no fear. And no concept of falling.

I added a few new holes to the house:Cheap art I call it. It is holding me over until I get my new quilt I will probably send back?

On my agenda today is Taxes. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!! I already have a headache. But if I put it off another week, no accountant is going to help us. So it's Baby Einstein, baby neglect, baby gate, and graham crackers for the rest of the day today. Maybe I should put another pot of coffee on...

Maybe I will start a new advice column in my blog: Here is my first set of advice, learn from me...
*buy the new biofit from victoria secret. If you want I can post a before and after of my saggy girls. That alone, you'd be headed to the store now! I feel so wonderful in it! Not that I feel myself in it, I'm talking I feel giddy and perky on the inside too!
*Read this lady: Confessions of a Pioneer Woman. She makes me want to move to Montana with my cousins and watch Wrangler Marlboro Men. Sometimes I feel like I am stalking people, all of this blogity world.
*And finally, advice I got from a lady at the salon with a doctors mask on, apparently there is too much lead in the world. And also, you can smell lead in things. Just lean down close to the item, and it will smell somewhat salty and leave a weird taste in your mouth. She is actually, when she is feeling better, going to come back to the salon one day and smell test everything in the salon and let us know what does have lead in it. Wow. The things you learn. It must be a full moon coming, that is my advice I would like you to walk away with.

Uh-oh

Well, It's been ordered.Eek. Already having buyers remorse. But...found a good deal online with free shipping, and WaLa!! Is a quilt really complete without new sheets? So onto JcPenney I ventured and ordered not one, but two sheet sets. Sure hope they fit!! I ordered an orange set and a yellow set. I hope all of this is returnable.
Ya know, I had this idea a few months back that I was going to grow up a little, and start choosing big people colors. Hmm. I must've forgot.
So when I receive my shipment, I will wander to the paint store. And as much as I would like to say that I will take my time and look at all the colors, and maybe take home some samples and really pay attention to the way they make me feel, Ya right. I will probably pick the first color I see, and go with it. Then regret it for, oh say 2 years? So any opinions? Maybe a nice tan, or an olive green to contrast the red, or say white? Oh no, white walls in my house? OMG! I have even been thinking of repainting my dresser. Distressed, funky, have no ideas for color (big surprise!)

I'll keep ya posted, eh?

Eye Candy...

Well I have many pictures to post. So if you have some time...

This is Sunday after Brent got home from fishing. The baby had been asleep, and he was peeking at her through the slats on her crib as she woke up. She freaked, she was so happy to see him. Such a daddy's girl, or is it the other way around? The best toys are the simple ones. One of my favorites from this morning. I love her ears poking out.Just chillin on her little sofa, reading her book. Smartee?

So today Alex came and hung out with us. Kari and the girls met us at the park for a WONDERFUL walk and fun time on the play ground. Here are some of those:

I took a ton of us feeding the ducks, but didn't get as lucky. The sun was too bright, and I think I had the camera on the wrong setting. They all turned out washed out. Guess we will just have to go back!

Ogres are like onions, they have many layers....

Happy Birthday to my brother, Jared! He is 32 today. I think. And also, Happy Anniversary to He and his wonderful, beautiful, amazing wife, Jenny. She is such a good mom, and with 6 kids that is probably very hard. They somewhat eloped 5 years ago on 3.3.3. Is it eloping if it is just to the court house in Farmington? Well, any way you look at it, it remained a secret untill St. Patty's Day. Hope you two have a wonderful day! Love you...

March 2, 2008

Happy Birthday To Grandma-Great today!!This is Hadley's Great Grandma, My Dads sweet mom. She enthusiastically watches Hadley every Wednesday while I work, and usually isn't so willing to give her up at the end of the day. Between her, my own wonderful mom, Grandma Spencer, sister-in-laws, and Brent's doting family, I am able to work and not pay all of my earnings to day care expenses. She is held, kissed, spoiled, & loved all day long, getting to know her great family. Thank you so much you guys, for helping me. It's been a whole year, and the last couple months are making me wonder if it is worth it. We have done nothing but spread diseases around, and my mom seems to get the worst of them all. (sorry, mom.) I start to think, "apartment life wouldn't be so bad?" Sell the house, live off one income? But then I see the baby light up and clap when we get to my moms house, and I love how close she is to everyone. Spring will be better, right?

Brent is fishing out of town this weekend, and took our new camera. Otherwise I would probably post a picture of my cute nephew Connor playing with Hadley. He has been so cute with her this morning, playing peek-a-boo, riding her bike with her, and last night very carefully taking her through the playland at the infested McDonalds. He keeps lifting her over the baby gate. "oh, you want to go over there?"Funny boy. Nolan has slept through all of this, and they are not being quiet!

Things I love this week:
*amoxicillin
*french toast, coffee, and a lazy Sunday morning
*baby Einstein movies (if it wasn't for them, my hair would never get done)
*sunshine, strollers, and a minute to escape
*my husband leaving, so I get a chance to miss him
*red grapes and bananas. must be part of spring fever?
