Lifers:

Well, besides a wedding, funeral, flubug, happy fun baby, sad ornery baby, and an upcoming BREAK, not much has happened. Well, that sounds like a lot, but you add work into the mix, along with laundry, milk sippy cups, and lots of oatmeal smears, and it tends to just blend into day to day life, you forget to write about it in your blog! Ok, Ill start from the beginning.

Cali Chey was married in Montana on Sept 6. With a short time to plan, we were in a frenzy to cancel a whole Saturday at work, load up a Grandma, a Mom and an Aunt Janette, my Hadley, four hundred fruit snacks, Blues Clues and I. One flat tire outside of Idaho Falls, resulting in Collector Mom taking home some road side souvenirs. She was able to collect one disgusting rat or vermet skull, a pretty rock, and a roughly wakened mad granddaughter who was napping peacefully, only for just a minute. Anyway, we made it in time, and the bride was BEAUTIFUL. It was a wonderful little ceremony, and of course, the babies stole the show...
The Bride and Groom...(wow look at that beautiful hair, wonder who did it in only 45 late minutes!)Hadley Jo and Fayth, who is a 5th generation Baby. She is my grandmas great-great grand baby. She wasn't havin my social butterfly, Hadley all over her too much. I think Hadley is only 8 weeks older.

Then when we arrived home, we joined our family in services to mourn and celebrate the life of my Great-Aunt Margie. She passed just before we left for Montana, and was on our minds the whole trip. It was hard to see her closest family ache for her, for two reasons. One being that is that you want to just help them, and take away their heart ache. The other being that it brought back some painful, but bittersweet, and also wonderful memories of my own grandpas passing, funeral, and wonderful family we had around during that time.

So we have had 5 days of puking baby, and two days of very bad "other flu" baby. She was a champ through most of it, only one day spent sad and laying on my chest all day. And Mom, Kari and Sue were also champs, when Hadley ralfed all over us in moms car on the way to Swiss Days in Midway! Well, Kari got a bit sick, probably from wearing Hadleys breakfast for most of the day. Sorry, Kar.

Brent and I are sneaking away for maybe our only vacation this year. We are starting off Saturday thru Monday in Telluride, Colorado. There we are going to the Blues and Brews festival, and Etta James is performing that day! I know all of one song she sings, but it happens to be my FAVORITE!!Then we head down to Durango to visit one of my very best friends, Lori, and also to ride the train there. Hadley Jo happens to LOVE choo-choos at the moment. I am very excited, getting out some warmer clothes, and am wishing for some beautiful fall colors along the way...I keep playing

this
over and over for Hadley to get her excited! Or me excited. However you look at it.

Oh! And Im on the lookout for Funny Halloween Costumes. This was my bug last year:But I can't find anything to top this! So suggestions.....?

Ok, I had to come back and add two things:
*Last night Hadley went to bed so nicely, practically diving for her crib. I walked out and shut the door and within 2 minutes she was screaming like I have NEVER hear before. I walked to her door, usually she calms down fast, but this just kept getting louder. So I opened her door to find her light back on, but her leg caught in her crib between two railings. OMG. I tried to pry the two rails apart, then yelled for brent to come here. Funny thing, he told me no. He was on the phone with work, listening to an important message. I yelled so very dramatically "HER LEG IS STUCK IN THE CRIB I NEED YOU NOWWW!" which is funny, now, to think about it, because he threw his work phone down (it took us a while to find), ran in and kept telling me "Don't panic" as he very clearly panicked. She was stuck just above her chubby knee, and before I almost called the fire department, or got out our chainsaw, we were able to turn her on her side, and brent pushed her leg while I tried to push the rails apart. Needless to say, she got to come out and hold mommy while she drank more milk, whimpered, and watched Dragon Tails.
*I love that when she has something she isn't supposed to have, she goes right for her closet and hides. All I have to do is listen for her in her closet, and I know. I go right to her and she tries to roll onto her belly, hiding it, and says "NO, mommy." It's funny, this age. She is naughty, but so easy to catch.
*Ok, one more. We took her to the fair the other night and she had her first taste, that I know of, of cotton candy. First I gave it to her, and she looked at it like "what am i supposed to do with this?" Finally, she put some on her tongue, and immediately pulled it out, eyes wide. I think it actually scared her. She spent the next few minutes sucking on it, the spitting it out once it turned to sugar balls. Finally she learned the joy of cotton candy, and the little blue sticky monster munched away, even swallowing it towards the end.

I know, exciting life we have. All centered around this fun, fun baby. Hope you weren't too bored....

Tagged, twice.

Well, I was Tagged by both Mom and Kare Bear. I hope this doesn't mean I have to put double the list , so I will list just 6.
These are the rules which need to be passed on
1).Link to the person who tagged you on your blog.
2).Post the rules of the tag on your blog.
3).Write 6 random things about yourself.
4).Tag 6 people at the end of the post.
5).Let each of the people know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
6).Let tagger know that your tag entry has been posted

Wow. This is kinda hard. It's easy to come up with things for other people, (especially my family, they are all kinda weird!) But ya know, I am pretty NORMAL and somewhat boring, so 6 things is kinda stretching it for me. I mean, how in depth am I supposed to get? Like, is it important for you to know that my diet doesn't have nearly enough fiber? Or, maybe you don't need to know that I am starting to develop a crush on Steve of Blues Clues? Maybe that's because I see him more than my own husband, but really, I am way out of his league, and he is entirely to geeky, nerdy and dorky for wonderful me! Ok, well I will brainstorm here for a few seconds and list my 6 strange and wacky unknown things about myself:

1. I hardly ever vacuum. My husband does it. I have been in this house for 3 years, and only vacuumed maybe 5 times (and looking at my carpet this shouldn't surprise you). I usually do right before my husband gets home, mostly to clean up a HUGE mess the baby has made with her food in the front room. Food I gave her to occupy her a little bit longer so that I could accomplish a mindless and useless project or Internet search. Shame on me.
2.When I was little and over at friends houses, it never occurred to me that looking in other people's fridges was RUDE. I also asked for second servings of treats, Popsicles, and ice cream. Yes I was that kid.
3. I used to get nervous when my older cousin Jase was around. Not that I had a crush on him (ew, gross) it was just that he was very cute, (looked like Tom Cruise) (Top Gun Tom Cruise, not jump on couch psycho Tom Cruise), and I was just very selective about what I did or said around him. Now, I don't care as much. He is blessed with the same belches and stupid comments everyone else is witness to.
4. Why make your bed when you will be messing it up in a few hours?
5. I pretty much would pay $1,000,000 to guarantee that no mouse, gerbil, hamster, rat, squirrel, chipmunk, or anything with hair and is smaller than the size of a cat, NEVER comes within 25 feet of me for the rest of my life. Actually, for that kind of money lets make it 100 feet. I despise these rodents. Talking about them makes me need to take a hot shower and brush my teeth, because I start to imagine gross hair all over my body and in my mouth. Hairballs. And mouse poo. And Haunt-virus. blaaah.
6. And last but not least, I am actually not that smart. I am witty sometimes, and I don't appear outwardly dumb, so I think this helps disguise the fact. But when it comes to some simple, very apparent, common sense items, it sometimes takes me awhile to catch on. Sometimes I will be deep in thought and a thought will just hit me out of the blue. And I think "Oh! That's how that works!" I have all these smart, educated costumers, and sometimes I have to just nod, smile, and turn on my blow dryer to pretend I understand what someone is saying about Obama, or the KGB or even sometimes their 7th grade geography class. I mean, where is Iowa again?

Ok, Tag these people:
well, Actually, everyone on my friends a family list has already been tagged, so I'm waiting for volunteers...

Busy, Naughty and SUPRISE!!

Finally! I have been PRODUCTIVE!! Big cheers for me. I have stepped away from my computer on these last few days off, and accomplished some things on my list. First, I have been working on my neglected bedroom. Remember my nice new quilt? It needed to have some brightly colored friends on the walls, so I added this...
And these new additions, brought to you by my inner 4th grade child, are now hanging above my bed. My flowers look like balloons and starfish, the robin laid eggs in the fall, and birds just seem to float, not so much fly?I ordered that vinyl tribal/paisley-ish thing off of Etsy here, and it was delivered today. I only swore 3 times while putting it up. Anyway, this will, one day, be a mish mash of random, collage-like items...And YES, I know, I know. Messy dresser.
You know, collage like, kinda but not exactly like this... Oh, and painted my mirror. I know, so important for you to see where I pluck my whiskers, right by the window, for the best light...
While I was busy, Miss Haddie was NAUGHTY!!Notice milk on the couch, the rug, and on the pillows she used to rub it around. I now have good pictures to use for N, naughty, in her book... She fell asleep eating lunch today, Cheetos still in hand!I can't decide if I am becoming more neglectful, if she is becoming busier, or her ROOMFUL of toys really are just boring. Cake pans are actually very nice to sit in on a hot day, nice and cool.
And one more thing I am working on, a little kitchen hutch for Hadley, since she has so much fun with them...I still have to distress it, sew a curtain for the top shelf, add knobs, and paint faux burners on the top. That might actually take me another 6 months, at the rate I move. And now the surprise. Mostly because I know I wont post again for awhile, and these might be gone by then. Also, I would like to appear super accomplished (although I kinda ruined them) and post as many projects as possible, mostly so I feel redemption in the fact that I have not done anything for 3 weeks now. Anywho, MOM, these were intended for you, minus the mess ups. But I don't have to hang them in my house, so take'em or leave'em. Actually, I will leave'em, tomorrow, at your house. So get crackin on that office, so we gots us somewhere to hang these buggers!Ok, I know. Long and boring. You are used to it by now, right? One more picture to make this the LONGEST POST EVER...We went to the Davis County Fair Friday. This one I call "Little girl, do not feed the goats wood chips!" That's my Haddie!

Just a funny...

Most everyone has seen this before, as I have. But this time when I watched it, all I saw was my older brother Jared. His personality is all over the place, but many times when he gets on a roll entertaining, he keeps going. Many times he has had us in tears laughing at his antics. This is something I could see this
goofy guy doing. So go here to see what I am talking about. 6 minutes, but it's worth it.

Boring, I know.

Well, I hate to bore you with the same old, same old. Here, is yet, another page. I was going to wait until I had at least 5 new ones to post, because this, surprise, is not a scrap booking blog. BUT, that said, this is my favorite page so far. And my baby girl, whom just today I was staring at thinking "Your not a baby anymore...", has been SO FUN, craZy, & just absolutely sweet lately. These pictures are the proof. Some are not the best quality, but you can see...

Notice those teeth, second picture from the last? That, Kacy, is why you are weening your baby off of her Binky. To save you thousands of dollars in braces, not to mention the embarrassment of your wonderful daughter being called "Snaggletooth" like her Daddy was. (Brent wore braces for 4 years!) Me, on the other hand, I have this nice BIG mouth, to where my teeth have plenty of room to grow. I can, in one toothy gap, hold half a cob of corn, a small serving of steak, and usually, I like to hang on to a small bit of Butterfinger. For later....

Ok. So now I am a mess. I was going through my files to find a really gappy toothed picture of myself, to prove a point, and came across these: taken just one year ago. They make me smile, but they make me cry, too. As I said before, I am having some serious "You are growing up too fast" issues. I think it is not so much that she is growing up to fast, as it is I don't really remember her as a baby! This kills me! Look at these cheeks!

Oh, no. And this one, too.
This poor child, the things I put her through...

Wow. Might, just now, in my hormonal madness, be almost baby hungry. Me? Really? No, I can't be. I did go to the park with two pregnant ladies the other day, Im sure that is it. It has to be. Their wombness must have effected me strangely...

Ok. I'm over it. I really need my coffees in the morning...
