.*.Amazing.*.
First I need to show off a little...Well, not me show off, but show off for my oober talented SIL Jocelynne. She made this wonderful quilt, and for some silly reason decided I was worthy enough to receive it (I promise I'm not!)She is such an amazing quilter, not a point off mark. Not just quilter, but scrapbooker, artist, photographer. I don't like to be around her much, I start to feel very amateur! (jk I love you, just try not to be so good!)
And now for some matters of business...
My mom has been working so hard to put together a party for my grandmas birthday. Here is the invite, saving on postage, I won't lie. Come and enjoy with us!
Also...(tears, sniffle, and timeouts!)
For my family and friends, this will be in your mail shortly...I hope. I am going to try and get some pictures of Hadley today to send also. I am so slow!
Sad thing is, I haven't even thought of what to get her!

Lazy Post
I did this *25 things* for my Facebook, and it took me so stinkin long, I can't justify a new, creative post. So I am just going to paste it here too. Though most of this is what I have posted about already, and really will bore you. And I am not going to tag anyone, so enjoy my ramblings!
1. Im not very good at these type of things!
2. I have had the same, or a reoccurring cold for over 4 weeks. My sinuses could use a break!
3. My dream house has a nice big studio, where I have room to color, paint, sew, hide, with maybe good lighting for some photography, also. And there will be glitter. Too much to ask?
4.I am so very nervous about a new baby. And a long hot pregnant summer. CHERRY HILL HERE I COME!
5.Too much talk today about new, sharp crayons. I might be headed to the store later to buy some. For me. New crayons, markers, colored pencils make me very happy. Hadley has been too naughty with crayons lately, so I might also have to buy some Magic Erasers!
6. I love decorating. I am trying to plan out my (almost) 2 year olds new room, but really it will be my dream room. Lots of bright colors, lots of little bins and organizers, and maybe a funky homemade mobile! I can't get away with rainbows anywhere else in the house!
7. I waste a lot of time on the computer.
8. I hate winter. All I can dream about is Spring. Mosquitoes, allergies, soppy wet grass, and sunlight past 5:30 is all sounding delicious to me!
9. I am only to 9 and already stumped. I don't think I am a very interesting person...Hm.
10.
11.
12.Um, I do hair?
13.My car currently has all 5 (or is it 6?) food groups either smashed, crunched or smeared everywhere in it. A transient could eat for a week off of what Hadley has disposed of in there. Embarrassing, huh?
14. I hate LOL. I never laugh out loud when I read that. Same with TTFN. Sorry, but I am grumpy today. Tried to warn you.
15.I'm trying to be a more positive person. Its really hard though, I like to complain.
16.I hate to be naked. As soon as I get out of the shower, clothes come on. I can't sleep naked either.
17. I usually can't start my day until I have touched base with my mom. What are you doing today...guess what Hadley is doing...I think that is why its 11 and I'm still in my pajamas. Haven't talked to my mom yet...
18. I am deathly afraid of mice, rats, rodents in general. Cats even bug me. And birds too.
Dogs are ok, as long as they don't jump or sniff my crotch, or get slobber on me.
19. I love camping. And getting sunburned. I know, cancer. But I don't tan, so it's the only way I get any color. And it clears up my complexion.
20.Big words intimidate me. Using them, spelling them, all of the above. I guess I am just not a very educated person. I talk like a hillbilly most of the time...
21.I share socks with my husband. I don't like womens socks, they fit too loose around my ankles. I like tight, crew mens socks.Thats all we share though, I wear my own underwear.
22.This has taken me entirely too long.
23. My ears just popped! Oh praise the heavens, its been 4 days! I'm scared to swallow now, I know they will clog again!
24. The last 2 have to be something good, right? Well, no pressure. I have an unhealthy obsession with vintage. Except for the smells, I cant do that. But I love avocado green, bold flower prints, and velvet orange curtains. MMM, love. And granny squares. And thrift clothes. Funky old ones, but they have to smell ok, no stainage.
25!I am starting to feel old. 28. I think its' time to retire my glitter eyeshadow and need for pink, funky hair dye. At my age, I start to look more like a sad stripper than a fun, young girl. But I need a little bit of fun still. Thats where the gaudy jewelry comes in...
The sad thing is Facebook doesn't have spellcheck and blogger does. Oh sad. I mispell a lot!

*My Fair Share of Snot*
Now at 3 solid weeks of massive nose drainage and thundering coughs. Just when I thought both Haddie and I were getting better, I awoke with a semi truck on my face, while she has started leaving snail-slime-trails on everything in the house except Kleenex, and coughing through the whole night and nap times, resulting in a sad, whiny, crying baby. Curse this winter and the crappy air.
Monday we had our first Doctor visit. She said everything was wonderful, only I'm not as far along as expected. She pushed me back 10 DAYS! 10 pregnancy days seems like an eternity to me! Assuming I just ovulated very late (TMI?) my due date is now Aug 30. I am mostly upset because I was so close to rounding that corner close to 12 weeks, where I could start feeling safe from miscarriage, closer to feeling better and not so sleepy. Now I'm back down to a measly 9.5 weeks. But as long as baby is healthy...
Happy Birthday Sunday to my little big brother, Kyle.
Who also has his fair share of snot! He is proving to be a good guy, despite his hairy first 2 decades. Father to 2 beautiful, silly girls, and husby to our Kare Bear, he seems to be a better man today than yesterday. Happy Birthday Old Fart.
Other things clouding my mind:
*IKEA. I am going through withdrawals. Moving Hadley to a new room is on my mind a lot lately, and I have a craving for fun bright baskets, and a big new quilt for her bed. If not those, then at least some inspiration!
*Spring. I want this more than I let on. I could cry, really. I have never craved mosquitoes and allergies more...oh and camping. This just sounds wonderful.
*Bowling and Pizza Factory. Its funny, my pregnancy cravings have not necessarily been food!
*Cranberry Juice
*Boiled Eggs. MMMMMMMMHM.
*Super Bowl Sunday at Jd's house. Why? Spinach-Artichoke Dip, Baby Noah Kisses (Jen is thinking 'Ya right, I just read how sick you are') and pretending to care about football.
*Did I just say my cravings weren't food? Hmm. Let me rephrase that...
*My Haddie turns 2 in just 3 weeks! She is looking so grown up lately, losing baby fat and doing EVERY LITTLE THING on her own. "Haddie DO IT!" So party planning, pictures, presents....

Wrinkles
Right here, on the corners of my saggy eyes. And I think I have an age spot, too. Jeesh. Getting to be a little more mature, so... when do I stop shopping in the juniors department? 28 yesterday, and, well, big foof. I don't feel different, except for the gagging I've been doing as of late, but that is due to gestation more than geriatrics.
So my cute husband booked us a little getaway for the weekend, and my wonderful mother put up with Haddie, "the white tornado." It was so nice to eat out with no food being thrown at me, go potty without a little voice saying "I watch!" and to put one lip gloss without "Me some!" And to actually spend some time with my husband that wasn't just in passing, sleeping or sitting on the computer while he tickles the kid (kinda like now...?) Time to actually carry on a conversation, laugh, and realize "Hey, your kinda good lookin, you know?" Like, wow, I know I married you for a reason besides your diaper changing abilities...
VEGAS BABY....
Harrah's, where we stayed. Don't stay there.Oops. People steal cameras, so we decided self portraits were a much better way to approach our vacation pictures.
Panda bush at the Bellagio.
Stud Muffin. Oh, and beneath him there in brown, my hubby.
We don't get dressed up (I mean get out of our sweat pants) very often, so we had to celebrate with yet more self portraits.
OH LORDY...Hair disaster! This picture does not do this rats nest justice, but hey: If 9 out of 10 people passing you whisper, point, cover their mouths, and giggle...Then you need to change your hair style!!!!
And my cute surprise from wonderful little girls. Thanks for the silly presents girlies and Kari, love you!!
And the highlight of my trip, getting this picture of Hadley via picturemail from Mom. Her toddler make-up disaster:
Waterproof Mascara. That's my girl...
Thank you Brent and Thank you Mom. It was wonderful...

Messes Make Mommy MAD!!!
We are working on our emotions. This is mad. Potty break for mom means oatmeal explosion for Hadley. All over the floor, walls, her. Thinking of laying down plastic wrap instead of rugs from now on...
Finally finished these dolls for CHRISTMAS!They are for these cute girls:
We are also working on TIME OUT, NO HITTING, and getting extra snuggles when I can. Also "Sawee Mommy" "Ank You" "Pease" and "Caiful Mommy." And not flushing any more of Mommies contacts down the toilet. She actually can't do this anymore, because they were my last pair!

Did that really just happen?
Hospitals suck.
But they are wonderful, too. Instead of writing an emotional, angry, happy, sad version of our week, I will just link over to my mom, who has written so well about my little Hadley. First read HERE.
Next is THIS.
And finally HERE and then again a cutie HERE.
After all that we still have to go in tonight for more blood work, then up to her pediatrician tomorrow sometime for a follow up, hopefully her last visit for awhile. I am so thankful that we were troubled with just a mean virus, my heart goes out to the parents of very ill children.
This was in the emergency room after some liquid iv and her fever was down.
And here are some more funny pictures:
Fever 104 (not so funny)
Fell asleep (finally) holding a bag of chips.
Once she was free from all of her cords, she was happy to play hide-and-seek with grandma and grampa who came to visit while mom and dad went to the cafeteria for dinner.
I thought she looked a little ragged after her stay, so I trimmed her hair up in my bathroom with crappy scissors, but it turned out so cute!
What this week has taught me about myself:
*I really can sleep in jeans
*At 28 I still need my mom, who became my calm, brains, and translator.
*Most nurses are younger than me
*It's tolerable to go 3 days without a shower as long as I have a toothbrush and deodorant.
What this week has taught me about my daughter:
*she is physically very strong! She must have the strength of a gladiator, because she can out wiggle 4 adults and still manage to loosen her iv.
*she adapts fast, was going to bed well in her monkey cage crib, using her left hand for everything
*she really, really, really loves Caillou!
I knew this before, yet when she was calling out for him in her sleep, I knew it was going to be a long stay without him. Her daddy couldn't resist and went out and bought her 2 dvds of the whiny, wimpy little boy. (I love him, can you tell?)
*She means more to me than I myself will ever know, and I would walk through fire, and worse, watch 4 hours of Caillou, anything for my baby.
Wow, so I said I wasn't going to be long and dramatic, but kinda turned out that way. But it has been quite the roller coaster ride, and I am happy to see this baby throw as many tantrums as she wants at home, with cool cheeks and wet diapers.
