So Close to Done...

This was the first weekend in a long time where I was glad for Monday to come around. I am POOPED. I worked Wed thru Fri, long, never ending days. Saturday we had a fun filled day at LAGOON with Brents work, and Hadley shocked me by LOVING IT! As soon as we got out of the car she was squealing at the roller coasters, saying "wow" and "up" and "wees." After each ride ended she would sign "more" while saying it over, over and over. Funny, she has the beginnings of a cold today. From germs, maybe? Hand in mouth after dirty rides, sick.

This is the point where my camera battery died. Lucky for you, that shortens this post somewhat!

Sunday, was zoo day. Stinky, sticky, fun zoo. The reason behind this, (besides many Sundays of the boys out riding horses, and the girls feeling the need to get OUT) was to FINALLY finish Hadleys ABC book. Accomplished.
For this one, my sil is going to email me this picture. This is why I am oh, so so close to being done.

And because this post is not quite long enough, I am going to share with you a list of loves this week:
*Comcast Cable for having a 90's music station. Nothing reminds me of Jr High and High School like Spice Girls, Marky Mark, and Mr. Wendell. I have been listening to it regularly now. Right now it is Cranberries.
*Surprise party for Brents boss tonight. Sushi. Barf. I tell you, I am looking forward to spending good CLOTHES MONEY on a meal that will keep me gagging for the next 3 days. "Can you just bring me some lettuce and some water? Oh and maybe some plain rice" I wonder if they will be offended if I bring in a McDonalds Bag of food? Would I still have to tip?
*Fall. I love it. The smell, the cool air, the pumpkins. MMMMMM. Halloween. I can't wait.
*Edward. Ok, I'll admit. I am a little hooked. I am bribing myself with book #3 only if I get my fall deco out, and my house cleaned. Then I can go buy it. There are certain things that bug me about the books so far, and I have to remind myself its a fairy tale. Bella is just a little too co-dependent for me, and the men in her life are fairly controlling. That, and I must be a major perv, because all I keep thinking, is can Vampires have sex? and if he runs that fast, what is he going to do to the poor girl on their honeymoon? And I keep wondering about the size....Ok. I'll stop there. Perv, Kacy. Get your mind out of the sheets!
*OMG THE OFFICE! Did anyone else see the premier? I totally think Angela is pregnant! Another fun show to watch: Tabathas Salon Takeover. On Bravo. If you like hair salons, I guess.
*Edward. Oh wait, I said that already. I just can't get him out of my head. Tiff warned me, said I would feel like I was being a little unfaithful to my husband. Well, hm. Kinda!

Tuesdays Depress Me...

For some reason Tuesday comes along in my week and I go through a mini-pity session. I know I have to work the next 3 or 4 days, will not be able to accomplish ANYTHING, get home late, my house will resemble a tornado aftermath, and it will take me till next Monday evening to get things back in order, starting over in my tantrum... Whoa is me... Not to mention how much I miss my child during this, and the more I work the whinier and clingier she also becomes. So, now that I have got that out of my system, I will go out and enjoy this BEAUTIFUL fall day. This IS my favorite time of year...

Just sharing some more pictures with you. Some that I have worked on from our trip, and some of what I have worked on around the house. And one of my wonderfully artistic toddler...
See my new bed? Yes, it is high quality, 100% pure oak. Or is it cherry. Oh wait, its drywall and vinyl. But isn't it cute? and I finally got around to sewing new pillows for my bed. I think they are stinkin cute...
My very favorite scrap craft I did the other night, hanging in my bathroom that will probably always be just too messy for anyone to see how cute it is now..

Thank you, Lori, for teaching my child to draw on skin. I couldn't stop her though, just this once. It was too cute.

I love how the texture on this one turned out.

Park in Moab, Utah, where we stopped for Hadley to get some wiggles out.

They had these old school teeter totters, and I absolutely love them! Nothing brings back memories of being a kid like having your thighs melt to a scorching hot frog, duck or strange horse.
If you can't tell, Brent wouldn't pull over for me to take pictures, so this is taken in motion, but I still think it was beautiful. Actually, I was in the middle of reading (yes, I finally broke down and started TWILIGHT) and Brent kept saying "Aren't you even going to look around!? This is so cool! Quick! Take a picture!" Anyway, this is just inside the Utah border,I think. I do remember what Edward was doing at this point in my drive, though...

Addition to....

In lieu of Emails

We finally arrived home at about 8:30 tonight and I have to post some quick pictures. Mostly for mom and Kari, who are probably somewhat antsy to see pictures... Our trip was wonderful. Colorado is amazing, and it was so fun to see Lori, my good friend from high school. Besides a daily 60 minute tantrum, and myself giving in and allowing just one week of binky, Hadley was so fun. She is the cutest little stink I know... These are all un-edited, but you know me, give it a couple of days and I will fill up the screen with some fun photoshop....

Day one, Telluride. This is on the gondola on the way to town. The hippy is Lori. I already miss her...

Train Museum. Hadley absolutely freaked out at the "CHOO CHOO!!!"

The view leaving Ouray. This little town was absolutely gorgeous.
This is "Million Dollar Highway" beautiful but scary. No gaurdrails.
Durango. The highlight of our trip. 3 and a half hours each way in the train. Thank you modern technology though, our DVD player saved us...

Silverton, where we ate lunch. I saw this fun wall and couldn't resist.

Oh, peace at last. She slept most of the way back.

Wilsons arch, Moab.

For mom, more sunflowers than I have ever seen...
>And just for giggles...
