Bear Lake

We are back. Physically, at least. I still feel like I am in vacation mode, lounging around when there are things to be getting done. Like the 10 loads of laundry we managed to go through in 3 days. Sand. Wet sand. That should explain it.Hadley loved the beach. She would bend down and scratch at it, then run and suddenly THROW herself down. Bellyflop, right onto the sand. "Uh-ohs" she would say, over and over. Oh, and yes, she did eat A LOT of sand.Beautiful Sunsets. It's amazing what you see when there is not a house on every side of you.

This is why I love being a mom. Kisses.Go Daddy, Go!

Ok. And not that you don't love to see pictures of the same cute child over and over, but here are some random pictures from around the house.
This first one is how she has managed to push, grunt, and weasel her way through the baby gate, free to roam through the kitchen, climbing onto the table, and eating yesterdays floor crumbs. And this is what you see after you forget to shut the bathroom door for all of 2 seconds, and thank God it wasn't the toilet she was hiding in.

Over the weedend she also became a little more vocal. "NO" being one of the words she mastered. And she did use it, over and over. Funny, she knows where and when to use the word "no," but when I say it to her, she acts as if she has no idea what I am talking about. Also, "hat," "hot," "daisy" (their dog,) & "cheeeese" (for pictures.)

Ok, a few more pictures...

New pictures of Noah. Who I am dying to go snug. Maybe tomorrow. Just looking at him, can't you just smell that baby smell?

Just me writing...

Just some random pictures from throughout our busy week. Here is poor Haddies foot after making cute stones for the grandmas for mothers day. You should have seen my bathtub after she was done in there, too!The stones. I do little projects for all of these holidays, but never seem to remember to make myself one!Smothering Noah.
Mom giving Grandma the quilt she has been working on. It is "Daisy a Day" because this is a song my grandpa used to sing to my grandma. I think this means when Brent goes, I will get a quilt that says "Quit Nagging Me."
This shows the quilt a little better, but is that a crusty, Mom?
And the cuteness I am proud of this week (besides Haddie), the new flowers and random objects from around my house that made my flower bed so cute!

Now if I can just remember to water.

Yesterday we had a family date to IKEA. Hmph. Ended up buying Hadley yet another dresser that will probably only last 15 months, as her last one did. But I did get some drapes that I will convert into my shower curtain, I promise more picts later, because I understand you are DYING to see how it turns out!
Besides that, I'll sum it up quick:
*new flowers all around the house. One flat of petunias is entirely WAY to many flowers to plant, along with all of the others. I ended up shoving many into a whole, and hoping they survive.
*Bear Lake next weekend with Brents good friend Darrin. I expect Hadley to gain AT LEAST 5 pounds in ingested sand.

Now wasn't that interesting. So if you excuse me I have to go start Teletubbies again, and take some aggression out on a broken, but very cute, dresser. Oh and try to figure out how to cutesy-up an ugly, new, boring laminate dresser!

Disclaimer

*Under no circumstances am I claiming to be a photographer. I am in desperate need of some photography classes. But first, Ritalin, So I can walk away with any type of knowledge from classes I would hope to take.*

So we got all the rugrats together, and here is some of my favorites from the adventure. We took them to Main Street in Bountiful, some are taken at the Tabernacle, and the rest in front of old buildings around there.

I often see these kids, have sleepovers, go to their birthday parties, and am well aware of their ages. But that night when I got home and pulled up the pictures on my computer, I was blown away at how much they have grown up. It brought tears to my eyes to see these beautiful young women, who I think of as chubby faced, piggy tailed toddlers, just pose and smile and giggle, but photograph beautifully. With the boys it was hard to keep them out of the trees , but they turned out so well. Ok, I can't say they ALL did. I took over 400 pictures, and got maybe 75 good ones? I guess with 11 Grand babies, that's what you expect, huh? Craziness...

Happy Mothers Day My Mom. I love you Forever.

*BtW*I had a wonderful Mothers Day. We all met at Gram Spencers for Brunch, and for some reason I have a feeling I will remember this forever. Just the feeling I had there, the smells, the coffee, the family. It was perfect. The whole day was just special, and I don't say this with any type of sarcasm. I was just able to so enjoy it and take it all in. From the beautiful spring day, watching my mom ride the horses with Hadley, the breeze, the sun, holding the new Baby Noah, and sneaking a picture of my Dad holding Hadley tight. To ending the day with Hadley sleeping on my chest, for many hours, before the sweat overcame me and I had to lay her in her crib. Then waking up this morning to being kiss attacked by my little bug. She gets funner everyday, I expect my heart to burst at any minute.

.*.Sillies.*.

PEEK*A*BOO. Where is Haddie? What you don't see, the glass full of water on top of the night stand, ready to soak at the slightest bump.
Cinco de Mayo Fiesta a la Casa de Turman Familio. Comprende?
"HADLEY! QUIT EATING THE SAND!!"Nothing makes my beautiful little child look more pale and pasty than this tan, brown eyed, photogenic little senorita. Olivia LOVES to get her picture taken. And if she is like her mother, will never have a bad picture taken.
Nothing is safe anymore in the Hadley Broderick house. Notice her balance, one foot resting on a teatering chair, the other barely on the edge of the stable chair. The concentration and drive she has, just to suck on the back of an unopened box of crackers. Future tight rope walker? Balance beam?

Once life settles down a little, when I am, gulp, 75, I will post some more fun pictures.
Mothers day is this weekend (yea) which means I will relax all day and be pampered, maybe even eat grapes. Oh wait. No, it's a holiday. Which means wake up at the buttcrack of the day (7:30), drive from one end of the valley to the other, 5 or 6 stops, yelling at my husband to drive faster, being late, hence the anger between us. Cranky baby, no naps, and home late to a dirty house. But I love my mommy, and my grammy's, and Haddie loves her 6 Grammies and...her daddy. Not so much me, unless hitting and screaming at someone is a way to show love? And we love Brents mom, grandma, and step-mom. It's supposed to be a beautiful day, and I did just buy a new bottle of Excedrin Migraine, so things should go good!!

Ushoo...

Life continues in the Broderick residence. Another week, and not much to report. Tuesday, as Kari mentioned, was Zoo day. Hadley loved "oooh"ing at the elephants, signing "baby" at the monkeys, and zoning in on the big cement truck there to pour. Actually, she cared more about than construction going on than the animals. Grandpas girl? Here is a wonderful picture of us that day...

Oh wait. No memory card in the camera. Just close your eyes and imagine. Cute little girl, silly expression, elephant pooping in the background.

One funny side note, with our horrible allergies, Hadley laughs and laughs when any of us sneezes. So we end up fake sneezing a lot, and her little fake sneeze is so tiny and quiet "ushoo." But then, as I was telling her we were going to the ZOO, she "ushoo"ed. Then when I say go get your SHOE, she gives another "ushoo." She thinks I am sneezing when I say these to her..Chuckle..

Wednesday marked 3 years of marital bliss for Brent and I. If that is what this is, huh? Bliss? It was a wonderful day, to say the least. I worked a bit, but we met for a cafe rio lunch, followed by more work. After work, we took Hadley to Grandpa and Grandma Carters, and we went to Tepenyaki. This is where I will be returning once a week till the end of the year. OMG. The steak was unbelievable!! And also, I must mention, my romantic husband gave me a music Tim McGraw card singing "Just to see you smile" and in it, tickets to none other that Tim McGraw's concert this summer. Woo-wee. I'll be lookin for a new outfit!

Wow, now that was an entertaining blog entery. I better get to spicing up this life so I have something more interesting to write about....
