...crAftiEs...

Some people have bad habits to help them unwind after a day...I have a wonderfully bad habit of obsessing about something that has to be done RIGHT NOW, and I will cut every corner to get it done this second!!

I am SO over Christmas. It was wonderful, but my patience with the mess and clutter around the house has run out. The tree is down, the lights will be down tomorrow, and everything will be out of sight and out of mind.
I do have Valentines on the brain, hence the book. I think with the arrival Haddie's 12 Month Birthday (she will not be a year, just 12 months. That's how I'm dealing!) has got me a little excited about February. Besides the house does look somewhat empty now!
*#*and now for some smiles*#* a trapped baby, squawkingwhat do you mean I can't fit them both in my mouth?and lastly, the reason I don't get anything done. My housekeeper is a little off her rocker!!

Wrapping Paper in Poop...

WE SURVIVED!!! It was a wonderful day, nice and easy, taking our time and enjoying every minute of it. We were *spoiled!* once again. Hadley loved sampling each kind of wrapping paper. That's OK, maybe it will help her get over this diarrhea she has had all week? HA HA. I loved forcing my brothers into spending all this time with me, and watching the kids was so fun. I really do enjoy my family so much.
Hadley woke up at her usual time, 7:30. She wasn't too interested in opening presents at first. She just wanted to play.

Once we ventured to mom and dads, the party really started. First off, Brent spilled the beans about moms surprise. "Hey Clydene, I'd really like to use your new snow blower!" "What new snow blower, Brent?" OMG I don't think I've seen my dad laugh so hard in so long. Jared was happy he wasn't the one with his foot in his mouth. But we had fun, the kids were funny. Mom got a pinball machine, they were so fascinated with what she said were the original video games!
This would be a great spot to insert some pictures, but for some reason I can't. It won't let me upload any more. I must be over my limit. You can close your eyes and imagine all of the cute pictures!!
Then we were off to Taylorsville and Riverton. Both of which were fun and so mellow this year, I really enjoyed it. Hadley fought with me to go to sleep, and so it came to be that Grandpa Shay schooled me, and got her to sleep for a good two hours or so. With all the people coming and going she learned to wave bye-bye (a lot like popcorn popping) and was really into bonking people in the head, a few of which were very hard bonks.
I would just like my family to know how much I love them. They do so much for us, and love my baby so much, and that means a lot to me. I love to see people interact with her, my little sunshine.
Yet another good picture opportunity. I have the perfect pict of JD feeding her with the cheesiest grin!

Pedialyte & Santa Claus.

Everyday I think..."I wish I had a cuddly baby"...And today as she was laying on my chest sucking her binky and giving a quiet "hmph" every few minutes, all I want is a perky, hyper, trouble making, getting into everything little child.
The flu has hit the Broderick house, in the form of my little 10 month old. Who, after throwing up twice, giggles and says "whatha." I can't fathom what someone with a very sick child does, I was in tears over my sick baby who threw up for maybe half the day. I guess it is the combination of feeling so bad for her because she doesn't feel good, and feeling so helpless I don't know what to do for her!

Lean your ear this way... For an earful? She is happy to go with anyone, anytime, and I was sure she would be fine with the old fat man. No. But she wasn't the only one...King of blurry, but this is little Miss Paige Leigh running off of Santa's lap. She was so upset she wouldn't even take her present!
***8 days till Christmas***Doesn't this Santa have good eyes? Remind me of someone, not quite sure who...

Here is a link...

http://www.amazon.com/gp/movers-and-shakers/toys-and-games/

I can't get the Linkage to work. Copy and Paste?

This is the "movers and shakers". I can never find it from the home page, but I need to limit myself with checking on it. There are so many things for only $3, and then free shipping at $25. So why not? But beware! It might get to be an expensive habit!!

By the way, I got Brent's christmas present in the mail, and LOVE it. I need to get it wrapped and quit showing everyone. So if I haven't shown it to you, you will have to wait like Brenty Poo untill the 25th and I will be happy to have show and tell!! (11 Days!)

Title?

Count down to STUFFEXCHANGEDAY: 13 days and counting. Thank you for the stuff!! Just finished a bit of shopping on Amazon.com. Someone clued me in to "movers and shakers" updated every hour, and it shows all of the hottest or most popular deals at the moment. I purchased quite a bit of "stuff" but received free shipping? My house will be throwing up Winnie the pooh on estimated arrival date Dec 18!!

Call out for stuff you don't need:
Brent will be at the homeless shelter on Friday, Dec 21, and is asking for any donations (coats, blankets, clothes...) He has the silly idea of filling the back of his truck. The two of us cleaned out our closet last night and filled *5* garbage sacks just of clothes. Phew. Feel like going shopping now, the closet looks a little bare!!

Here is my attempt at "I better hurry and take pictures of the baby so I can send out a Christmas card" pictures. Any attempt of my own only results in much appreciation of what someone else could do better (Charlene) and my own frustration with waiting till the last minute and wondering why I cant half#s@ something and have it turn out good.

Not that this isn't the cutest child I have ever seen, it's just...well...look for yourself.
boogers.
and tantrums.
and shadows.
and BITING!! oh boy. Love this child...

She is asleep right now, and I am slacking on my peeping. Only twice so far tonight, I have some catching up to do before I go to bed.

aS PRomiSed...

Drum roll please...

Here is Hadley Jo on her Grandma Whiteys birthday, also Thanksgiving. I made this shirt for her to wear for her grandma. It was so fun, it turned out so cute, and got lots of smiles throughout the day. The back says "Happy birthday Grandma! -Haddie" and all of the letters are from material that was my Great-Grandma Forbush's. So you could say VINTAGE!! and the material smells vintage too? ha ha. We had a nice Thanksgiving. Nice, quiet, and small, which is very different for our family.

I also started working on another book for Hadley. It won't be done until after her first (gasp, sniffle) birthday because it will be picts from her whole first year. But here are a couple of the pages. The book itself is only 5x5...

I think when she is a toddling tot she will love to look at a book with pictures of herself. Mom has been helping me with another book also, a "quiet book" and it is turning out SO cute!!

Haddie's Obstacle Course

Funny funny little child. This morning, after her nice early 6 am bottle, I was trying to stay awake and was on the computer. I glanced over at her grunting, and was lucky enough to have my camera near. She was crawling through the bottom shelf of a little wooden stand thing I have by my front door. It made my early morning worth it!!

She has also conquered crawling through the coffee table. She is walking around the furniture, and getting braver with every step! Twice she has been caught splashing in the toilet (yes I know, my fault!)She loves to flush the toilet, and unroll the paper. Phew. And P-U!!

This is a section from an email I received. A mother is talking about her daughter starting a family, and what she wants to tell her...

"I want to assure her that eventually she will shed the pounds of pregnancy, but she will never feel the same about herself. That her life, now so important, will be of less value to her once she has a child. That she would give herself up in a moment to save her offspring, but will also begin to hope for more years, not to accomplish her own dreams, but to watch her child accomplish theirs. I want her to know that a cesarean scar or shiny stretch marks will become badges of honor."

I can't tell you how much I value every day with this little crazy angel, and how much it means to me that she is loved and cherished by those who I love and cherish. It's amazing what a baby symbolizes, and helps people with. Even getting out of bed to make a bottle when it's still dark outside!!

Hadlebugs, my handFUL!!

So I did get a shower today. Yes, about 6 pm, after Brent was home and could wrangle the baby. It wasn't a very good shower. I decided I get so wet cleaning the shower, next time I would just clean it while I cleaned myself. Not such a good idea. I need a bigger water heater.
Anyway, speaking of wrangling a 9 month old baby who now clings to my pant legs and cries (I love her to death,) I decided she needed a play pen...She did like it for a minute while I folded laundry, looking through the little holes playing "peek-a-boo."

Oh ChrIstMas TreE..
How do you explain to a man the difference between a twinkle and a flash? Good luck, it was very hard for me to do. Needless to say, the lights on our Christmas tree flash, which Hadley on the other hand LOVES! She whispers "wuta" over and over as she de-needles my beautiful fake tree. This year I added these little picks of holiday balls, which I love!

And my other project for the day...Necklace Holder. Brent added a few extra knobs to a knobby-thing mom gave me (sorry mom, I know this isn't what it was intended for,)and it looks lovely. But as we were admiring our work he said, "we should just repaint the bedroom!" Sigh...

Sioux, sioux, sioux-dee-oh!!

Ha ha! I kind of giggled at that. I am posting to let the obsessive blog-checkers (mom and Sioux) know that I perhaps will be posting later today. Brent is busy cleaning, and I get lots of dirty looks if I am on the computer when he is doing so. So I will clean, decorate my tree, and hang some picts in my bedroom. Then maybe you will hear more babble later this evening including picts of ThanksBirth GivingWhitey Day!!!

Mom, send me those picts please please please?

Wendover Trip Oct, 2007

Star in Your Own JibJab! It's Free!

You Like Our Boxer Shorts?

Well, we broke free for almost 24 hours a month ago when Wynona Judd was in town for her AWESOME concert. Whitey, Cheryl, Janette, Grandma Nadine, Jenny, Jennifer, Kari and I loaded up and made the long trek to the middle of nowhere. It was wonderful, and wonderfully funny. The food was NOT awesome, I think I am still trying to get some rid of that bloat. We giggled, cried, jumped on beds, flirted with the shuttle driver, and some crazy fools kept door-bell ditching the "Mature" girls room!! Silly people. Mom and Grandma each walked away with a few extra pennies from the slots, lucky ladies. We weren't able to get a real picture of the Mysterious Clydene, she is magic that way. I think I will hire the paparazzi to hang out at her house like she is Paris Hilton, so my child has a picture of her wonderful grandma at one point in her life!! And one more pict of Grandma, the firecracker. We love her, her whit, her giggle, and those cute pound-puppies she sewed for us back in the day so much. Oh! and her grilled cheese sandwiches.

scrum-DIDDLY-umptous

I feel the urge to write something because I have been obsessing a little bit and thinking, wondering, and now I don't know what to write about. That's one reason of many I love having this delicious little girl, because I kind of use her to get out of sticky situations. Say...Holidays? Don't know what to get someone? Oh, pictures of the baby. Say...awkward pauses in conversation? I just start with "guess what Haddie is doing now, she's so cute." Or I don't know what to write on my new blog (which is a bad sign, two days in) Haddie Bugs to the rescue!

Gobbley.wobbley.
Speaking of Haddie, I'm glad you mentioned it, Whitey dressed Hadley up for the season, and got us laughing. Funny turkey. She is very wobbley for the time being. She has been crawling for all of one week and thinks she can graduate to walking already. Thus resulting in many falls and much crying. She is such a little busy body, I think I am in for it when she does start walking. I am wondering if Grandma Nadine still has the leash she used on Whitey.I might need to borrow it soon.

First Post!!! Here we go...

Well, thanks to my constant stalking of other blogs, and my need to talk to the outside world in some other form of communication than baby talk, I have copied my bff Tiffany and started a blog. So I hope I can live up to the pressure of being a blogger! I warn you now, I am not very good at bein' an educated writer, so be prepared to read many of posts about nothing but a good nothing! So to you who will read this, Mom and Tiff, bear with me.
